What you see in the video is not exactly what you see in VR. It is a lot worse in VR unfortunately 😞 Edited December 2, 2019 by koog2003

I drove yesterday in the current challenge with the kitcars seven stages in Powys / Wales. Of the seven were four with heavy rain, two with wet track and a night stage was then dry times (Thank you for that). This is just one example of the fact that it is constantly raining heavily in the Hera demands. After Monte Carlo (little FFB), Australia (ridiculous fences that always turn the car 180 degrees), this is the third location that deserves to be ignored. Have you ever been to Wales? Spent 2 days out in the car watching an event the other week. It rained pretty much the entire time. Oh and it was seriously foggy. At night. Its a good job they've not gone mega realistic. Do you really think that in the extreme weather conditions that we see in VR a rally organizer would not stop the race ? They would stop the race immediately if it is so severe the drivers cannot see the track ! It is not a matter of realism or not. It is just too much in VR you cannot see the track man. On a 2D screen it is totally another story same weather conditions and you can see the track. It is that simple. Edited December 2, 2019 by koog2003
nbates66 21 Posted December 2, 2019 So I saw your Video and decided to do a quick cold test myself, I didn't seem to have any issues doing a quick run with no practice, but I guess that hardly proves anything... absolutely sure it's not VR fitment related? (time was around 156th-ish position but I had more than a few over or early rotations)

But I had seen snow in Abu Dhabi on a picture - where ist that wheathercondition in this game?? I think my excample is the same stupid comparison like yours. the rain in VR shifts the chances among the drivers - that is the fact! When DR2 will be most realistic there had to bee a lot of updates to come. So why this ****** heavy rain in VR Edited December 2, 2019 by Flens07

Flens07 85 Posted December 14, 2019 (edited) And again: Current monthly challenge H3 RWD. Third location POWYS WALES. 7 stages, including 3x heavy rain !! No stage with light rain !. Thank you CM from a VR driver. I have to drive on the hood (in VR) to even see the route. 👎 Only my good education forbids me to say what I think of it Edited December 14, 2019 by Flens07
Fregis 10 Posted December 14, 2019 (edited) CM can still add fog 😄 maybe it comming 😮 p.s. i use VR, but dont have problem rain/ snow, it still visible... but also dont compare to monitors - if they have better view - i dont like that Edited December 14, 2019 by Fregis

But if the choice is between bumper cam and low shader details i would go with the latter.

Best view are by the third-person-drivers. Nearly no rain! And your videos: Very nice, but they get money for it! Give me money and I shut up with the xxxxrain in VR 😁
Fregis 10 Posted December 15, 2019 i dont knink so third-person-drivers are faster, yes they see more, but vr gives car fealing how it moves, distances. My opinion different, drive and have fun. If they are faster, will be always someone faster, not because see more. but because have skill. Skills is not magic, drive more take lessons, study and you will beat them. Less stress and have more fun 😉

ApexAzimuth 57 Posted December 17, 2019 I'm 100% okay with Wales being wet all the time. I don't live up there but I know plenty that do, and they're so used to sogginess that it's barely worth mentioning. Muddy, wet stages are basically the default in Wales. Dry gravel is the exception. As for Australia. Right now it's the middle of summer in NSW and it's bone dry there. Wait till May/June if you want to see more rain in NSW. I love that types of weather are part of the personality of the location. I do wish we could see some rain in Finland though. Also as a 100% VR player, I have no trouble navigating in heavy rain.
