Fluxburner 0 Posted September 7, 2019 (edited) Firstly hello guys 1st post. Question, since V1.09 update patch on F1 2019 PS4. there is now a button mapping issue on my G29 Logitech Wheel? The RA Wheel, (red dial) won't bind a map, when turned clockwise only?. But Anticlockwise and the center button on the wheel still bind ok. Anyone else suffering from this issue perhaps? I tried reinstalling the game and it works again and binds as normal, but as soon as I update the game to the V1.09 patch it won't map again. Everything else is fine. I also tried F1 2018 & other games, and RA wheel maps fine. Where is best place to lodge with Codemasters this bug? It appears to be a patch bug to me as was all working fine before V1.09? Cheers, all feedback on this issue welcome. Edited September 26, 2019 by Fluxburner Change title for effect. Still not addressed?
iwill80 0 Posted September 22, 2019 I discovered the same issue just yesterday . Same problem on Version 1.10. I though the red dial was broken, then I tried with F1 2017 and works instead. And I had a function mapped before. So it's really a bug. Anybody knows how to report it?
SpringbokGamer 86 Posted September 27, 2019 Yes , this Bug reared its head in the 1.10 Patch . I had to re-map the Clockwise dial to the actual button in the middle of the DIal for the Time Being. Not sure if Codemasters are even aware of the newly introduced Bug on the G29 Wheel.
Kuurie 4 Posted September 29, 2019 I have the same issue since the 1.09 patch. A few people commented this issue on that patch note thread but it apperently went unheard...
SpringbokGamer 86 Posted October 3, 2019 Lets Hope Codemasters can fix this one they created, so that the Clockwise dial can start working again.
Fluxburner 0 Posted October 3, 2019 I lodged a support ticket way back when heard nothing back at all? We are a few updates past the issue update now and still no acknowledgement? Pretty ordinary I think for probably the most common sim wheel going atm.
andygsxr750 4 Posted October 3, 2019 The red dial when turned clockwise is no longer recognised since patch 1.10 from memory Is this planned to be corrected? Or has it been done recently? Or is that it now?
RedDevilKT 243 Posted October 4, 2019 Hi, I have passed this onto the team to investigate. Once I have more information about it that I can share, I will do so. Thanks.
RedDevilKT 243 Posted October 4, 2019 @andygsxr750 I have merged your thread with this one about the same issue on the G29, I do however know that you are experiencing this on the G27 as per your original title.

Intrinsicrhythm 0 Posted November 30, 2019 Just updated to 1.18 and can still not map to the rotary wheel turning clockwise. Super disappointing that this hasn't been fixed

Once I have more information about it that I can share, I will do so. Thanks. Firstly What is the point of continuing updates on any title if you are not going to actually support the main bugs and issues?! Instead of just ignoring this problem get someone to fix it already ! We have waited patiently for this to be addressed it was a problem created by the developers earlier patches on one of the most popular periphery entry level wheels on the current market. The Logitech G29! Why is this not getting addressed yet? it's such a simple fix hardly a brain drain, just turn the mapping bind back on for the wheel in the code for god sake! Patch Version 1.10 , 1.12, 1.15, 1.16 and now 1.18 have all been implemented and it is yet to be fixed. Hardly good enough for a supposed supported title, and whatever the excuse it's obviously not being considered at all. Using this wheel in game currently without that button binding correctly is an absolute pain in the backside and needs fixed come on guys stop already give us a break and cut the **** and sort it out it's nearly Christmas and this happened 4 months ago and 5 patches since? What do we have to do get it sorted, contact Logitech as well and get them to talk to you guys so maybe someone will actually listen do something about it and take notice ? SpringbokGamer 86 Posted December 4, 2019 Its *Should* be simple to fix. Go back and look at the last patch when it still worked, and then check what was changed in the next patch that caused this. Maybe its not that simplistic, but being an engineer myself thats how I would have tried to fix this self introduced bug.
shawty1984 1 Posted December 10, 2019 I'm having slight trouble with button configuration on the G29 playing F1 2019 on the PS4 Pro. Now this used to work and I'm not sure why its stopped, it happened a while ago and I just assumed it had broke. On the G29 you have the red 24 point selection dial which is mapped to open DRS when you press it, decrease fuel when you turn left and increase fuel when you twist right. The button press works, the fuel decrease works but when you twist right nothing happens. I've gone to remap the button but it will not map to twist right. That's why I assumed it had broke. Finally getting my behind into gear, I done some testing today. The button fully works on Gran Turismo Sport, so it's not broke. I've deleted the profile I had for the custom controls and started again but still have the problem. Can anyone test this for me please to see if it is a bug in the game? shawty1984 1 Posted December 15, 2019 Guessing this is a bug that's not getting fixed then. Ridiculous for a company the size of Codemasters.

Just because it hasn't been acknowledged yet doesn't mean that it'll never get fixed 🙂 That's why having bug report threads high up with loads of comments is something desirable.
