Exanderful 0 Posted December 18, 2019 I was on a "save file select" screen and accidentally deleted my only one profile (because A to select and X to delete its really stupid, they so close to each other). Is there any way to restore the save file? Because in "documents" i didnt find any save files (after creating new one too). Platform: PC, Steam.
1512marcel 457 Posted December 18, 2019 This might help you: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=8794-yphv-2033&l=dutch (allthough copied from my own account the tutorial offered is in English). If not, try this search: how to restore save files on steam
Exanderful 0 Posted December 18, 2019 Its must be working only if i create backup files before. But i didnt do this, because all saves must be in Steam Cloud i think? And how i say before: there is no save files in documents and game folder.
1512marcel 457 Posted December 18, 2019 I’m not that familiar with how the Steam backup works, but it just might be that following in the steps in the tutorial brings up an automatic saved file that’s hidden/placed somewere else and gets triggered by the proces. Just a wild guess, but one you could try. I do however understand what you are saying.
Exanderful 0 Posted December 18, 2019 So i checked steam account data (steam cloud) and it shows there is no actual save files in F1 2014 game. Only Steam Cloud saves. And now in "cloud" only new profile which i just created to check for save files in game. Well that sucks, not sure if steam allowed to restore old saves, they just redirect to yours support when trying to "solve problem". Only way now its delete game and forget about this because dont wanna play 38 hours from zero again 😞

steviejay69 1,102 Posted December 18, 2019 If you use W10 File History you could include the Steam folders and restore anything. In fact, it's probably more useful than trusting it to Steam cloud.
