F1 2 player

Recommended Posts

Hi, looking for some xbox one f1 2019 assistance. My boys got 2 ferrari thrustmaster steering wheels and the f1 2019 game for the xbox one however I can't seem to find a way to simply set up a 2 player mode with split screen. From the info to date that I have searched I'm concerned this simply doesn't exist on this game. Do you know a way I can do this for them?

Im very sorry but isnt possible. Maybe get a second console and game sharing if its a digital copy. Otherwise boring back the 2 wheels and go for a cheap FFB wheel like G920.

Thanks so much for taking the time to reply. Such a shame. What about the online multiplayer mode. Could they use the same console to play against each other that way?

You could create 2 accounts and let them battle against each other with time trial. You can select display ghosts then you can see the opponent car.

There is an online league option they might actually be perfect for them seeing as it should be possible for them to turn up at the same time regularly! Plus it should give them more fun with a whole season to look forward to instead of just one race as they chase points for the championship! They can even add ai in the mix to make up the numbers as letting real people join might get chaotic or frustrating with the lack of cheat penalties in the game. Just make sure the ai opponent level gives them both a chance of winning!

OK. Sounds ideal. So just to clarify you think the two boys using the same console with two steering wheels can compete in the same race watching the same screen? Sorry if I sound like a complete amateur (I am one!)

No you cant. 1 console. 1 steering wheel. 1 playing at the same time. You can PM me otherwise for some help.

Yep you're going to need 2 consoles for two wheels and hope your next door neighbour doesn't mind you attaching to their WiFi to play at the same time (if they don't already have the same console). Last time I looked I think even port forwarding is restricted to one console (of each type) per net connection?

Not sure if the LAN game option is possible though. Be interested to know if it is different that I suspect.

It is possible to use more that one console on one network. We hook up 6 Xbox consoles to one WIFI network and it works with some occasional not unsolvable network problems. But that has more to do with the Holiday park WIFI system we use during our “LAN parties” and the restricted bandwith. At home your router will give each box it’s own IP and port forwarding isn’t necessary, NAT will take care of that. A LAN option would make everything a lot easier but unfortunately XBOX doesn’t have that option anymore which we regret.
