DiRT Rally 2.0 - Version 1.12 Bug Reports

Darn. I wonder what could be wrong with my system after the update then. It seems worst in Salida desda Montverd stage in Spain. I tried more combinations of settings today including your settings with no change in the random stutters.

Edit: I'm not sure why I didn't try this before, but I just tested a few stages by simply sitting in the car looking forward, not moving. The stutters still happen. With the Oculus debug tool performance overlay on, I can clearly see the performance headroom go from +30% to into the negative (off the charts) for a second at a time every 10-15 seconds. It causes a momentary glitch/stutter each time. This does not happen in Assetto Corsa, ACC or Project Cars 2.

It's very strange. Do you have 8 Gb of VRAM in your 2080?

Check your system, maybe antivirus or another service running in background ??

Please release next patch, the game started to crash after completing every single stage.

Maybe you should give more info. What platform, in case of PC if it is a modded game, does it happen with a certain car(s) or not, does it happen on certain stages or not, is it in a certain game mode (career, daily events, time trail, custom, WRX, ...). Every bit of info could help the developers to find the bug more efficient, so they can use their time also on other things more efficient.

There is no need to do this, the game fixed by itself. It seems that sometimes weird things happen with this game.

I notice sometimes, if I boot up my PS4 and immediately start thhe game and go rally, that than i might get a freezing moment. This I also had with DiRT 3 in the past. Like not everything could be loaded yet fully or that the PlayStation is still busy with background processes.

So when I give my PS4 some extra time to boot-up and that start DiRT Rally 2.0, I have basically no issues.

The boost gauge in the HUD for turbocharged cars is still bugged in this version.

A boost gauge should show 0 boost when the engine is not running, and a negative value (usually around -0.7 bar) when idling. In DR2 it is the other way around (negative value when engine is off and 0 at idle) which is completely incorrect.

This is the second time I am reporting this bug.

The default gearbox for the NR4 Mitsubishi Lancer is still bugged. According to both the description in the garage menu as well as in gameplay, it has sequential transmission in DR2 which is incorrect. NR4 is based on the now defunct N4 class, which required the same gearbox as in the road car.

This is the second time I am reporting this bug.

The NR4 Impreza shows the incorrect gearbox in the garage menu. It says sequential, but in game the car has H-shifter (as it should).

This is the second time I am reporting this bug.

Bug on Steam version:

Historic championship will not get the green "Completed" tag after completing it.

I completed the H1 classic championship in an earlier version (early December I think). I got the green "Completed" tag on the H1 championship but there seems to have been a bug at the time that prevented me from getting progress for the "Time Machine" achievement.

Now I completed the H2 championship on this version. The bug with the "Time Machine" achievement seems to be fixed since now I got 1/3 progress on it, however I did not get the green "Completed" tag on the championship on the menu.

Version 1.12.1 - Steam - Super Deluxe Edition

Ford Fiesta Rallycross (STARD) is not part of FIA World Rallycross Championship, though it has suitable TRY livery. There are only 2 Ford Fiesta Rallycross (MK8) and 3 different Ford Fiesta RXS EVO 5. One of them has STARD on the grill, but it is still RXS EVO 5.

All other RX 2019 cars added on January 28, like Mini and Clio are in FIA World Rallycross Championship.

Version 1.12.1 - Steam - Super Deluxe Edition

Please optimize light and shadow processing on fences and net surfaces. The light is processed like fork bomb, creating huge FPS drop in some places of the track. Most visible in Jagodno, Poland in wet conditions with headlights on (see screenshots).

My hardware: https://asset.msi.com/pdf/main/us/nb/GL72 6QF-697.pdf? and Logitech G29 steering wheel with H-sifter.

My graphic settings: hardware_settings_config.xml

Please, if possible, advise better settings for this particular setup, not to drop overall visual quality because of two problem places.

Puncture at weekly/monthly challenges, if you don´t repair it, it´s fixed at start of next stage.
Normal or not?

Dry and wipers, those do not wipe anymore but no change to dust of windshield, still get dirty only at area where wipers would not affect.
So magically windscreen is clear however wipers do not move :classic_dry:

Could be the DASHOST.EXE issue that plagues some users networks: Sony Android TV caused VR framerate stutters on my Oculus Rift S in Dirt Rally 2.0!

[posted this in Suggestions Box too]

the algorithm for picking stages seems to be malfunctioning a little.

I'm finding that about 60-65% of the stages the algorithm for My Team produces in Finland are on the Kontinjarvi/Hamelahti route, and far fewer (35-40%) are on the Kakaristo/Pitkajarvi one,

for instance, not a single stage in the Community Events section in the events that include Finland (namely, the current R5 weekly and F2 Monthly) are either Kakaristo or Pitkajarvi.

When I had Finland in career (not the case any more, unfortunately) it was the same. Also, there seems to never be any rain or wet surface, but that could just be me.

I'm fairly certain there's something wrong with the algorithm. it's been a problem (though rectified now) in the past with most other locations.

  • you can test this Freeplay -> Custom Championships.
  • Choose Finland as location, it'll select a stage for stage one
  • select this stage, and go to Stage Options
  • choose Random Stage, then Accept.
  • I did this 50x. almost exactly 60% of the stages were Kontinjarvi/Hamelahti routes.

Thanks!

Hi!

My "navigate tab second" controls stopped working. I have Logitech g920 and game binds them to pedals. They cannot be changed and they just suddently dont do nothing on The menu. Pedals work otherwise very good.

Second thing is The logic on those dailies, weeklies and monthlies. I have owned The game for 2 and a half months and somehow they are bugged. There are tons of events for new rallycross cars, R5, R2, H1fwd, h2fwd and groupB and sometimes group A and NR4. But i have driven my 2000cc cars like three times and old rallycross cars none. Same thing with tracks, i havent driven in Sweden once and wales/MC/germany very rarely. And same occurs with rallycross tracks, i drove 3 Times on a row on canada, but i actually dont even know how Estering and Bikernieki look like. Always The same circuits over and over, usually Barcelona, lydden Hill, canada, höljes, Hell and yas marina.

PlayStation user.

If I have bought all the DLC on my PlayStation (my primary console) then shouldn’t other people using the same console be able to purchase the DLC cars from the garage in myteam? My father can race the DLC stages, but cannot race any stages which require a DLC vehicle as they never appear in the garage.
Also he cannot race the stages with D+ written on them, not sure why this is.

Bug on Steam version:

The "Kickin' 80s Vibe" achievement does not unlock.

I just finished today's Group B RWD special event with the M1, but I still don't have the achievement.

Bug on Steam version:

In service, if you have non-optimal tyre type selected (dry tyres before a wet stage or vice versa), you will get a warning that there are mixed dry/wet surfaces before the next service, even though there isn't. This even happens if there is only one stage between the current surface and the next (which means there cannot possibly be mixed dry/wet surfaces since a stage is either all dry or all wet).

A positive by-effect of this incorrect warning is that it alerts you to the tyre menu and you will hopefully realize that you have unsuitable tyres selected. However the nature of the warning text is incorrect and therefore confusing. Someone not familiar with this bug may take the warning literally and believe there will be mixed dry/wet surfaces and therefore keep wet tyres on the car to be safe, even though in fact the upcoming stage is all dry (yes, I did this too the first times I encountered this bug).

Several cars are using the incorrect "drivetrain layout" image in the garage menu:

  • DS Automobiles DS 21 uses front engine, front wheel drive image (should be front-mid engine, front wheel drive)
  • Alpine A110 1600S uses front engine, rear wheel drive image (should be rear engine, rear wheel drive)
  • BMW M1 Procar Rally uses front engine, rear wheel drive image (should be rear-mid engine, rear wheel drive)
  • Porsche 911 SC RS uses mid engine, rear wheel drive image (should be rear engine, rear wheel drive)
  • Porsche 911 RGT Rally Spec uses mid engine, rear wheel drive image (should be rear engine, rear wheel drive)
  • Speedcar Xtrem uses front engine, rear wheel drive image (should be rear-mid engine, rear wheel drive)
  • Ford Fiesta OMSE Supercar Lites uses front engine, four wheel drive image (should be rear-mid engine, four wheel drive)
