a year almost into Dirt 2.0, over 600 hours played and still getting connection failed

Recommended Posts

why has this never been properly fixed CM? Nearly every service when doing monthlies and weeklies after setting repairs I get connection failed error code 2bb7dc9a-0-50 do these actually mean anything or just random numbers that devs put in just to make us think it's in anyway helpful. No internet connection issues.

Can you try this, especially if you're on Windows 7.

Your security settings may be outdated compared to our servers.

How to Fix (short version):

Quote
  1. Use Windows Update to update Windows 7 and install the KB3140245 Security Patch.
  2. If you can't do [1]: Install Windows 7 KB3140245 Security Patch.
  3. Download MicrosoftEasyFix51044

Updating your Windows Registry file

  • The next step you need to do is to patch your Windows Registry file, so that your OS will actually use the new TLS protocol versions (1.2, and 1.1 as a fallback) instead of the outdated and vulnerable 1.0 one.
  • This can be done either automatically (with an official Microsoft-released patch file) or by manually editing the registry file using regedit or our own TLS12fix.reg file.

In that case I'm not sure how to resolve your particular issue. Email custservice@codemasters.com

For reference we had a dozen or so Win 7 players report connection issues this week, and what I quoted seemed to help them out.
