Option to turn off Jeff please

Recommended Posts

Jeff at times can be great but due to his limited dialog when you play the game alot it makes you want to scream at him. Every practice session if you spend 5 seconds sat there he comments on how you shouldnt focus entirely on race pace. Dont get me wrong im sure this is great for new players but when I'm in season 7 and he tells me for the 100th time about understeer it gets a bit boring.

Ā

I would just like a shut up Jeff option for when i am in the garage

Although it's not exactly what you are asking for you can do the same thing by going into audio options and reducing engineer volume to zero. I used to do that for all sessions then raise it again for the race, when he might actually say something useful! It's blissful practicing without him talking garbage in your ear I agree!

There’s also anĀ option called ā€˜Radio Verbosity’ I believe you can turn it to respond only, which will keep Jeff from talking unless you ask him a question.

From memory that does not stop him from talking but at least limits him to important race info only. It does pretty much shut him up in practice but he will still comment in qualifying from memory.

I totally agree. This Jeff often very annoying and useless.
Especially in training sessions. Just sitting there and do nothing for a few seconds makes Jeff gving you hints about how to use the MFD button for 1000 times again and again. I am not suffering from dementia.😫

What are you thinking, when programming sth like this?! Jeff could tell me, which color my car has or when there is a left corner I have to steer to the left. The quality of hints would be the same...

Every program that gives hints to new users has the option to turn off startup tipps that you can select when you aware of the tipps or you do not need them. Why not in F1 2020? This problem is known since years and nothing happens.

When it was the intention to bring more life in the practise sessions, Jeff should tell the first three positions, weather forecast, in which sector I lost time compared to my best time, how many session time is left, or sth else that fits to the individual session and not always the same stuff.

Please change this, Codemasters.

Thank you.
