Question for devs/community mgr about new unified assists system

Hi,

Long story made short: I’m a longtime player and the new unified assists system is a huge disappointment that makes me consider quitting the game.

There is one thing I find difficult to fathom: what were you trying to achieve with that major change in gameplay? In what way did you think that would improve user experience?

Because from what I read in other posts, and from my point of view, I think this is just going to upset a lot of   your faithful longtime players. So I don’t quite get the gamble here 🤨

Update for the Intermediate assist level saved the day for me.

But I’m still trying to figure out the reason behind this major change.

Must be classified information since nobody seems to dare giving us an explanation 🤐

When this update came out I set assists to pro and lost over 2000pts. After that I changed the assists to intermediate and I won them all back in one evening but i didn't enjoy it, I felt like all I was doing was steering the car with a little bit brake every now and again.

I've now gone back to pro and I'm stabilising the results. Most of my defeats wil lbe down to me making an error which costs you 2-3s.

I paid my dues and spent a week on pro.  It became second nature to me.  Now I'm driving on veteran and like it even more as the car is more eager to turn with less stability assist.

Mobileracingfan, no offence but are you being paid by Codemasters for promoting new assist system?

New assist bundling is massive money losing mistake. CM has lost and will lose paying customers like  myself and many others. If company is so ignorant and plain stupid to change core values of its product, then this is what they get.
