Error when joining a friend ( F1 2019 Unranked )

Recommended Posts

Hello!
Im searching the forums and I can't seem to find the solution, thus I will create this topic myself.
I've got 2 friends that I play with on my PS4. And we've got a problem when trying to play together, both when one of us three creates the lobby and even when we're trying to join a random match together.
When trying to join a random match, one of us will join and then the second person that joins can play, but the third person joining us get's an error ( no matter the order that the 3 of us are connecting in )

When creating the lobby ourselves:
If im the one making the lobby, player "A" can join but player "B" can not
If player "A" makes the lobby, I can join but player "B" can not
And when player "B" makes the lobby, both me and player "A" can join

Hi @ssdino,

Have you checked the connectivity and NAT settings of yourself and your friends. What are your NAT types?

I'd recommend asking your friends and changing these to NAT type 1 and see how you get on. There are many websites online showing you how to do this. 🙂

Hello again @BarryBL

Me and both of my friends changed to NAT type 1 but it didn't not resolve the problem. The problem is still there.. Any other possible solutions to resolve the problem ?

I'll run this idea by the developers as, from our experience, that is a pretty common solution. Do you run wired connections to your consoles?

I do have a wired connection, the friends do not.
I did try using wi - fi instead of the wired connection but it still doesn't work

I'd recommend using a wired, more stable connection if possible to your friend. Maybe both also consider resetting your routers.

Restarting is what was meant.

Hello, @BarryBL !
Just wanted to come back here and tell you that the game is working fine now.  We didn't change anything and all of a sudden we were able to connect to each other, it's been working for the past 2 days.

That's strange @ssdino, happy your racing though!

Could've been a connection issue. If you do stumble on any changes, please let me know 👍
