What if the engineer asked you simple questions in the pits during practice to help with car setup?

Jeff - “How did the car feel exiting corners?”

Driver - (Too much oversteer - Too much understeer)

Here the engineer will offer feedback on what to change if the car has too much understeer

Jeff - “if the car is pushing towards the exit of the corner or ‘understeering’ I would recommend adding +1 on the front wing.”

And he can be more technical with other questions about mechanical grip.

Fantastic idea, similar to Project Cars ingame Engineer. Would be especially great for newcomers.

Hope Codemasters, will give us a much more detailed and realistic handling model / physics model, as well as car setups with dampers, individual suspension and tyre and wing settings for all 4 zones of the cars + fully customizable ERS mapping and programming etc., whilst retaining the Engineer to give advice for beginners.

This way, everyone would be happy.

Not only would that help in terms of playability, but the immersion as well. Even out on track during practice sessions too, maybe have the ability to decide what to change when you come in, so that it's box, push back, load, then drive with the new changes.
