Well as far as I know Codemasters are supposed to be at E3 this year after they said they would not be.. guess things changed last minute for them. I hope to see some footage from a more updated beta build.. Sort of like an official F1 2015 unveil that will show a lot more then screen shots and a 23 second clip.  But I most likely am just dreaming.
Things were indeed pretty last minute, games industry hey?

I'll ask you to temper your expectations now though, this isn't a huge big reveal for us, so keep that in mind. I'll try to pass any new info along as I have it come in.
@LiteralZero Excuse me? Your E3 presentation won't be a huge reveal?
Yes. We are at the show, but it's not like we're center stage there. That's what I meant by that comment, apologies if there was confusion.

zero is the new pied piper, playing his pipe and all the weak minds follow him like puppies :)

holy smoke batman is that a trail of smarties leading into that dark boiler room

I wish I could play the flute honestly. I share what I can, when I can, and while some of you may not like that idea, it's the honest truth.

Temper our expectations is an under statement. No career mode, only one mode getting all the practise sessions which annoys me the most as its just so unfair on most players that won't use the pro mode. Which essentially has been in every game, since we can choose all assists on or off anyway. Sounds like the most pointless mode ever.

If I bought this game I'd just feel so ripped off. Theres 2 seasons of cars which is nice, but I want to play the game with full race weekends like only a small portion will be able to do.

@Britpoint  @LiteralZero can any of you guys comment on why the practice sessions won't be available outside of pro mode. I just want to know why codemasters came to the decision to punish players who might not have the best abilities but still love a full race weekend. This is the reason I won't be buying the game.
I'm not sure where you got info there was NO practice's. In Championship Season, you get a choice of a practice length. I don't remember the exact duration differences off the top of my head but they are there.

I think he means why the normal season mode doesn't have all 3 practice sessions whereas the pro season has it.

this is exactly what I mean? I just don't see why as a player with less ability that we won't get to have all 3 session. Totally unfair since we all pay the same price for the game but won't be to play a full race weekend that other players will get to play.

Everyone should have the option to play a full race weekend, 3 practices, qualifying and the race.

Hey Zero, Do you know if they updated the damage system as well. Like if i barrel  in to the back of somebody it actually destroy's my car and possibly the car in front of me, and what about the safety car system(out of the 7 gp's 4 gp's had a safety car deployed.)

The PSN F1 2015 game info page says the game is 1 player offline only (and 16 players online). So does it mean that the game doesnt have a splitscreen multiplayer ?

Thanks for your answer.

I'm not having a go, and I don't mean any disrespect whatsoever, but I honestly can't help but wonder what the purpose/role of a game company's "Community Manager" is when the muzzle is so tight & there's so little interaction with the customer community.

@Britpoint @LiteralZero

I was wondering what happens to mechanically dead crashed cars left in the middle of the track in F1 2015. Do they still magically disappear into thin air?... or do we finally have working cranes with marshals moving and picking up the crashed cars during safety car periods? thanks for your answer.

Even for a company like EA that would probably be a long shot and if we did have it it would probably explode the console/pc if another car crashed into the crane

I doubt that... in many racing games there is many working moving objects within almost every map or track. I don't think one working crane with a few marshals in every track corner would be too much with the NEW consoles. They already have track marshals waving flags in the past tiles.  It would also enhance the immersion and realism of the game... it would also make the Safety car periods a little less dead,  just warming tyres for a few laps behind a slow car seems flat to me, you know what i mean?

Is it me or has the forum given up commenting/moaning or talking about anything to do with F1 2015 this week...

The forum is a ghost town.

Today is a day for reflection as today was the original release date, I wonder how many of us would be playing our copies right now if they had released it! still one of the few who is looking forward to the release.... just! would love a dev diary this weekend!

wait a minute, not everyone working for codies is a developer so im pretty sure a member of the team could put together a quick diary with a little input from people like britpoint as he seems to have enough time to come on here and communicate with us, the only one i might add :)

Watched the latest dev diary of /Kingdom Come: Deliverance.  Now that's how to do them.  Informative warts and all, with less of the P.R bull.  I'm sure they too are very busy with their game, but realise the importance of keeping people interested.

would love a dev diary this weekend!

If they've delayed it a month to fix bugs, the last thing anyone will have time to do at the moment is publish a dev diary....

That is true.. it should have been done before the 1 month extension to fix bugs. The best i hope for at this point is not content from Codies.. but the game play footage the journalist "might" put out with whatever material was made public at E3. But when the embargo is lifted it also might mean we will see some more stuff from Codies... not just the press... who knows i could be totally wrong.

Not sure if I've missed this piece of info but does anyone know if you can still save in game? As with work/family life although I like to play a full race weekend with maximum laps it's very rare that I have the free time to complete it.

Not really, they would say more but they are under a embargo, as soon as its over they will reveal more stuff.

Yeah, because if they try and promote their game in any way, it goes against everything they believe in and could potentially help profits.

Yes you can save mid race. Also, I have to say, if you can't spare the time it takes to do a full race then I suggest you ought to slow down and relax a little...not good for the old ticker! ;)

...Mind you, I don't have any children so...

kids = no time to yourself

Today I was at my local mall, and I catched a glimpse of a video of F1 2015. I've never seen it before. There were some scenes from the teaser trailer but there was a LOT of new footage (ending with the catchphrase "Race like a champion 10 07 2015"). Funny thing is, and I say this as a big codies fan (flame shield up), when I first looked at the footage I thought it was F1 2014!! They showed a few clips where there was the full grid, and the fps were dipping down below 30 for sure. I thought, ok they're just showing F1 2014 (its a small mall, so they usually only hype up very big AAA titles or football games). Then F1 2015, catchphrase and release date came up. I stood there for another 2 loops and I saw that they showed some 2014 content and some 2015 content. Graphics went (for what I could see) from ps3 quality (mind you i said Ps3 not pc) to mind blowing. Fps too went from astonishing (usually when there were few cars) to noticeably bad (race starts, long angles , many cars on screen). I saw some wheels too and I think I saw the very same ones on the old 2014 cars.
I ll buy this day one as I always do, but I admit I would have preferred not to see that reel.
Can someone from Codies shed some light on this? Is that an old promotional tape that you sent out months ago? I felt really underwhelmed as assets in general seemed to go from laughable to incredible. It felt very inconsistent.
