Fps too went from astonishing (usually when there were few cars) to noticeably bad (race starts, long angles , many cars on screen). I saw some wheels too and I think I saw the very same ones on the old 2014 cars.
I ll buy this day one as I always do, but I admit I would have preferred not to see that reel.
Can someone from Codies shed some light on this? Is that an old promotional tape that you sent out months ago? I felt really underwhelmed as assets in general seemed to go from laughable to incredible. It felt very inconsistent.

So you saw watched lackluster gameplay and sound rather disappointed, yet you want to buy it day one. Makes sense.

Some people buy Formula One games day one because they are one of a kind for the past god knows how many years and not because of how good or bad they are. I'll admit being one of those people until buying F1 2014 and what I've seen of F1 2015, probably going to wait for it to go on sale or something this time around.

Sorry for the late reply! Finished watching the awesome Motogp weekend just now.

I did not record anything because I honestly did not even think about it in the first place. Second I don't really have a good smartphone , my Galaxy S Plus is really not that good. Third I was there for "sunday morning window shopping" with my wife, and since its forbidden to record or take photos of products I didn't even think about it. I can try to go back there this afternoon but I don't think my smartphone will do any justice to the video, I have a lousy Galaxy S Plus (yep, you guessed it, i m not a hip youngster like you kids).

About me being silly for buying something that seemingly let me down, can you please name me a game where I can drive as 2015's F1 drivers on 2015's official circuits? Hmm, as I thought, you can't.
I will always support anyone that makes F1 games, 2007-2009 was so bad without any official rep I don't even want to remember that period.
Maybe like Andi said, I'm just an old dinosaur that's old enough to be able to afford any game on release and so..why not? Leave some fun for us too ;)!

Anyway, I hope Codies can help me understand what video I just saw. Is that reel meant to be shown at E3? Is it an old promotional tape or something that was meant to go up next week after the embargo gets lifted?

Footage was new. There were a few shots from the teaser trailer , but expanded upon. Two or three grid starts. The video starts with the starting grid lights closeup. Then some parts of the video show 2014 content, mixed with 2015. I know I recognized Mclaren's 2014 cockpit (still with the standard wheel used in F1 2014..). The staff has no clue about where the footage comes from, they sell all things electronic, even dishwashers..you know its a mall. They probably just now its a game. Maybe I didn't explain myself clearly, its not a games only shop. Anyway its forbidden to take pictures or videos, I ll try to go later and sneak a peek alone, last thing I'd want is getting my wife embarassed over a manchild spying a videogame ...If I'll be able to get some footage recorded I'll put it up somewhere!

But you do realise that in the 2015 game there is the 2014 cars as the 2014 season is fully playable alongside the 2015 season?? I am sure your find a way to get a picture or photo haha

Shame its not 'Currys' in the U.K.  You can mount full expeditions to find the 'lost sales assistants' and come up empty, so getting enough time to point a phone at a screen wouldn't be a problem.

False information. I seen every F1 2015 out there. Not once does any video dip down 30 fps. Also for the record. there is not one single object in F1 2015 that makes the game look like F1 2014.

Not like it matters i got me a press copy of F1 2015. The game is a joke. buy at your own risk. The handling is terrible. so much missing stuff it almost makes you want to laugh in order to not cry, in the end the only okay thing about F1 2015 are the graphics and the 60fps.

That's precisely why they have an embargo -- a co-ordinated onslaught of coverage a short time before release (theoretically) generates more buzz that dribs and drabs of info over the course of a few weeks or months.
