F1 2015 Teaser Trailer and Screenshots!

Great to see a teaser but at risk of sounding ungrateful and hard to please it allfeels a tad bit underwhelming. Haven't really seen anything to suggest this is truly next level f1. Also given that Monaco is arguably the most iconic f1 race, the silence, unexplained release delay and crazy lead time between announcement and trailer would have expected just a bit more. A dev diary would have been more appropriate. Wasted opportunity IMO but alas have come to expect nothing less.
Yep, I completely get where you're coming from. We've had nothing for over a month and while the gameplay teaser is good, I would prefer a 3 minute developer diary as you suggest. The Monaco shot looks meh tbh.

There's been no post on their blog or anything explaining the release date delay which is very surprising. You'd have no idea about it unless you happened to catch a glimpse at the end of the video (which I didn't notice until I read posts on the forums).

Excited yet somewhat disappointed. As I said before, I just hope we're bombarded with stuff in the next few weeks.

There goes my birthday present  info on delay should be explained as many of us have pre-ordered and booked time off to make time to play this on 12th June

Looks good, but the video compression makes a lot seem a bit less detailed, unless the textures aren't that sharp?
Yeah, the comments on the textures and lighting aren't very complimentary so far over on the TeamVVV YouTube channel either...
1:13 video for a 23 second teaser. Huh.

Wow... game looks terrible for me...but might be the youtube compression even at 1080p details in the graphics do not look next gen. Still no real news... or answers to any of our question regading the mechanics of the game. And now the game has been pulled back to July. What a shock. 23 second clip that barely shows anyting at all... Nicely done.

Just noticed in the Ferrari grid screenshot that two Williams mechanics are enjoying an intimate moment in the background under the umbrella!

The trailer looks pretty good, quite short though. I'm more interested.....again. Delay is annoying though. We should definitely hear why.

Its crazy to think in the last week or so we have seen more detailed trailers/Dev videos for racing titles due later in the year wrc and Sebastien Loeb rally.....and also NFS trailer (similar 20sec length) with more detail than this

Quite sure one of them is just leaning in to whisper something in the others ear, but I'm also quite sure there are lots of gay people in F1 already.

That's probably because the teams and F1 management all have to sign off *everything*, hence keep it short = less issues!

No Martini sponsorship/red strip on the Williams again.

Good news about the delay. Is there any possibility that it could be delayed longer than the 10th of July? I'd be much happier if so!

To be fair, that had already been confirmed anyway (at least on Twitter, can't recall if on here). They said they wouldn't have got their PEGI 3 rating even with just the red stripe, as that's still identifiably Martini branding.

They'd lose even more fans if they have another delay, but anything is possible.

I didn't want it delayed, but it makes June a bit less busy for PRL as we already have June leagues or new seasons starting for DiRT Rally, Assetto Corsa, iRacing, and 6 leagues for Project CARS

@LiteralZero is the delay because you're adding career mode?
This is by far the comment of the day :)
Yeah probably, they should be more like EA with Nhl16. Where you can just post questions about the game, where they actual answer.

What's going on? The delay does not surprise me, but the lack of explanation is a bit strange. Why not engage with the fans of the franchise who got their hopes up for a release next month?

Were they really trying to sneak in the info about the delay? Why not just face it head on and be honest? I know the reasons may be obvious such as 'we need more time to polish the game and optimise', but let your fans more into how you're developing the game and share more info.

I also have mixed feelings about the trailer... The shots are changing so quickly that it's not really showing anything... I'm always wary about judging visuals until the game is being displayed on my TV, but did the teaser 'WOW' me?  I'm afraid not.... :(

How much development/art time must have been spent to model all those people, umbrellas and Lewis Hamilton's golden chains?   I know far too little about the game to be able to tell whether time was spent on stuff, which does not make the core of the game.

However, some of the split second in-game shots look good. The car reflections in Bahrain and Singapore look rather good, but the water in Monaco not so much :)

Well... our views now won't change much. The game is still close to release so it's now too late.

I just hope some preview builds will be provided to some good YouTube racing game content creators - I just feel very far from being informed...

Things have changed from the games with Lancia Deltas having the colours (e.g. McRae 2005). You could argue that Ferrari's colours show Marlboro though, especially with posters affirming the link, like these in Monaco now (where cigarette adverts aren't banned):

As for the "championship" mode, can't Codemasters do something with the fact they have 2014 AND 2015 in the game? I expect 2014 will just be tucked away as a bonus in a sub-menu though...

F1 201x on PC in North America has always been released on a Tuesday (on Steam).  The 10th of July is a Friday.  Will North America/PC actually be getting the game on July 7th or July 14th, or will it really be a Friday release for once?  Thanks

is it just me? but compared to Project cars.... the look of the tyres on f1 still are too light of shade.. they look like plastic kid's toys are made with. Should be a darker shade
