Looks great!
I hope you're being sarcastic. That looks terrible. Based on the screenshots leaked a few months back I thought Monaco would finally have some depth and realism and was excited for the game, but this is the same old cartoony, flat scenery. And it's just wrong. I'm at Monaco this weekend (second time at the Monaco GP). I walked the track today, this shot does not capture the harbour properly in basic looks or atmosphere. The boats are too far apart, there are too few boats, they are not differentiated in style or size properly, nor are they decorated with any colour (i.e signs supporting drivers, national flags). It's sterile and wrong.

The whole video is a disappointment, the game looks incredibly similar visually to F1 2014. I really expected more from next gen.
i'm afraid your right, looks very disapointing for a next gen effort.

I'll add something to this, I usually post in DiRT forums, but I am interested in the tech that is in F1:2015.  I had hoped that DiRT Rally would have some atmosphere in the menus and over all look like the F1 series and former McRae series (2005 back) with its animations and event feel etc.

I think this is ends up the same for both camps (rally and F1) Codies is not Sony (i.e. DriveClub) they don't have the resources to build the models and scenery like the larger game co's do.

I am just using DriveClub since its a pretty good LOOKING game, can't say much about handling or anything else, Need for Speed always LOOKED good to, but driving was crap.

This is just my perspective, I am probably missing a lot.  I'm just expressing an idea here.
yeah I agree that's my feeling about it too CM don't have the resources a lot of big game making companies do. So we can't expect CM's games to look quite as strong as theirs also with the fact they make these games on an engine lets not forget they build themselves they don't buy access to an engine from elsewhere like some other companies do either so it makes the job almost twice as hard as they have to make sure the engine they use does the job. Also I don't think C|M do a bad job with their games for the most part I do admit I'm staying away from F1 2015  for now but that's more down to the fact it's lacking a lot of features I want rather than I think it'll be a bad game.

Depends. It's entirely possible for leaked information to be published or broadcast, either accidentally or on purpose... if it wasn't, we'd never get to know about any leaked information.

I agree in this case it's probably not an actual leak, more likely CM allowing a controlled release of game footage to try and get some buzz going, but with little or no promotion by them because a) it's quite an old build, and thus b) the visuals are about 50% reasonably impressive and 50% crap placeholder, and c) it's being played by a numpty with a gamepad.

Maybe CM should buy the assetto corsa engine and build the F1 Game on that engine. I know it isn't going to happen but it would be more efficient.

This video shows the reason why CM should have gotten their finger out before now to make sure the first in-game video we saw was of the highest quality, captured at 60fpa, and driven with a wheel, by someone who could drive.

Force India just posted this screenshot of the game on their Social Media platforms

This pleases me, yet disappoints me at the same time. Firstly, the lighting looks very improved over F1 2014 which is good, and it's good to see they've finally added the white lines from the roads where they should be! Nice attention to detail.

However, the barrier at the exit of the chicane on the right (with the crane behind it). This really frustrates me as STILL after four years, it's not been moved back to where it actually is. I may be wrong but I've checked videos from previous years' games and in real life, and perspective looks like pre-2011, which is when after Perez's qualifying accident, they moved it back by about another 10 metres, so since it's been there ever since 2012. This has never been rectified in any F1 game since, and it still seemingly hasn't.

I know it's stupid levels of attention to detail, but this is the official F1 game, and if they can add the white lines then surely they can move the barrier back to where it should be. 4 years is silly, still no change...

EDIT: Also the inside barrier right in the foreground. Since 2011, this has been painted orange on the apex (it's the case at the end of most sections of barrier), but it's still plain in the game. That should be fixed.

I agree with you there.

CM maybe a small thing to fix? @Britpoint

Each time i see this game and screenshots i laugh at how terrible this game is going to be. Still after so many years Monaco is not right. I bet other tracks have still not been updated the right way. This is not terrible... its HORRIBLE. And the graphics.... just wow. There is more details in the F1 2014 Singapore version then F1 2015 has. What a joke you are Codies. What a joke. Im glad im not going to buy this crappy game.

PS I know the video from the French media is just a work in progress but the handling in that build... LOL embarresing even for a work in progress build.

yeah it's either a formation lap or one of the opening laps I would say given the cars are still pretty close together

People are treating it like a like because of Codemaster's radio silence on the forums as per. Once again it's ridiculous that we're finding out these things without the community manager of Codemasters telling us. I'd like to see a document of  what BigLee's plan was for F1 2015

Say F1 2015 is coming out soon
Ignore Community
Wait for French Media to show game
Post sarcastic tweet
Job Well done

I don't understand why most (if not all) F1 game news & announcements typically come from 3rd-party sources first. CodeMasters acts like they're under a legally-binding gag order that restricts them from ever whispering a word about their F1 games to their customers, yet they seem to share information with nearly everyone else & let them circulate it without restriction.
