This pleases me, yet disappoints me at the same time. Firstly, the lighting looks very improved over F1 2014 which is good, and it's good to see they've finally added the white lines from the roads where they should be! Nice attention to detail.

However, the barrier at the exit of the chicane on the right (with the crane behind it). This really frustrates me as STILL after four years, it's not been moved back to where it actually is. I may be wrong but I've checked videos from previous years' games and in real life, and perspective looks like pre-2011, which is when after Perez's qualifying accident, they moved it back by about another 10 metres, so since it's been there ever since 2012. This has never been rectified in any F1 game since, and it still seemingly hasn't.

I know it's stupid levels of attention to detail, but this is the official F1 game, and if they can add the white lines then surely they can move the barrier back to where it should be. 4 years is silly, still no change...

EDIT: Also the inside barrier right in the foreground. Since 2011, this has been painted orange on the apex (it's the case at the end of most sections of barrier), but it's still plain in the game. That should be fixed.
Looks like it could be a formation lap?
yeah it's either a formation lap or one of the opening laps I would say given the cars are still pretty close together
Or even following a safety car tho not seeing yellow flags

neither did I which leads me to think it's more likely what I said but as you say it could be a safety car

I dont understand why people call it leaked gameplay... Its not a leak when its on TV in France

People are treating it like a like because of Codemaster's radio silence on the forums as per. Once again it's ridiculous that we're finding out these things without the community manager of Codemasters telling us. I'd like to see a document of  what BigLee's plan was for F1 2015

Say F1 2015 is coming out soon
Ignore Community
Wait for French Media to show game

Job Well done
This community manager is a bit of a joke though to be honest. I mean, people are getting the information from other sources rather then him when was the last time he was on here? all that crap about he is going to be more involved with us. LOL. Bring back the old days when community managers actually did just that. "Manage The Community." We should all write letters of complaint. Technically hes not doing his job which is what hes paid to do.

Sadly, I'd wager he's doing exactly what he's being asked (and therefore paid) to do... Keep a low profile until there's something to show us that won't just be roundly annihilated on here.

I can appreciate that the hire ups in a company may be restricting what he's allowed to say, but that's no excuse for abandoning the community. He's active on the Dirt forums, so this just does come down to ignoring the F1 Forums. It'd be something to have a community manager acknowledging the users of the forum, and answering what questions he can. Instead users have to look through Twitter accounts to find information which should be available on the forums.

Surely a French Media Outlet showing Gameplay Footage of F1 2015 is something the community would be interested in? Well we'll just have to find these things out for ourselves.

Also it's obvious that he's not allowed to post on here at all, as Britpoint one of the Game Designers has been posting on the forums answering peoples questions. How come a game designer is doing a better job at managing the community than the community manager?

Completely  agree with this. Also Lee mather is also answering most questions  on his twitter account. Doesn't suprise me the amount of flack @justbiglee gets.

Also still no official word on why the game was delayed.
It just wasn't going to be ready by the initially planned date. The downside of working with a new engine means you get some unexpected teething problems which pushes us back. So there's no one specific reason for the delay, we just need some extra time to polish the game up to the standard we want it to be for release.

Why is it you that's usually responding to questions and concerns and not Lee? Is that not his job?

I'm not gonna comment too much on that build. It's months old work in progress and as such some things are a bit ropey. Steering "issues"? I assume you mean the steering wheel animation? It just lacked some animation smoothing back then, so when you went full lock with the pad it would go full lock with the wheel, regardless of the speed you were doing. Given that the player was tap-tap-tapping the stick, it gave the impression of the driver jerking the wheel very hard. That effect is fixed now. As for reflections, it looked pretty good to me, but I'm not an artist. We've continued to improve lighting etc. as we go on.

On the teething problems; there's no point trying to go into specifics. New codebase means new bugs that take some extra time to get on top of, that's all.

Thanks @Britpoint, very clear and informative.

By the way, if I may ask..., You say you are a member of the team responsible for F1 2015, can you say specifically which 'part' or the game/s you are responsible for? - Or are you a 'jack of all trades' if you will?

Recently it appears that @Britpoint is both Games Designer and Communications Executive... :)

I understand why @justbiglee is absent from F1 forums - he's got his hands full with DiRT Rally and I'd rather he keeps his focus there (my personal preference :) ).

In the past we used to see Chief Designer for the F1 series @T4RG4 post and reply, but since his departure no one has taken upon himself to directly interact with the community. I know some of them occasionally reply on Twitter, @Britpoint as ex-community (that's how I think of you!) has a connection and is happy to interact and perhaps go beyond his role.
Lee Mather is often happy to reply to Qs on Twitter, but does not reveal much new info.

Eh, dunno why Codies F1 team is so distant... (with some exceptions!)

My main areas for this game are the speech systems. So race engineer and voice commands basically.

Britpoint: Are you pleased with the speech system, is it ready , or you still perfecting
Yes and yes. Quite happy with where it's at, still making tweaks.

mmpaw: I certainly hope so! But wait for the system specs to be sure.

@Britpoint
When will you be confirming details for Online/Multiplayer.
I really want to know if all qualifying sessions are included as an option, not the 15 minutes.

The problem you have with: q1-q2-q3 people will get knocked out in q1(online) and when quit. Cause they don't watch to watch/wait for q2-q3

Dont play online much but thats a great point! Who wants to wait 25 mins to race if like you say you were knocked out in Q1.

Would only be good for leagues but it would still sting having to wait out the rest of the sessions.

It won't be good even for leagues. Waiting for 25 mins won't be fun. Not to mention that unless CM bump the number of cars to 20, it will be pointless to have Q1, Q2 & Q3
