Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Bought this game yesterday on steam but unable to play.

  • short description of the problem: Everytime I want to start a new carreer the game crashes. I see a short piece of the F2 clip video and then it crashes.
  • Platform you’re on (PS4, Xbox One, PC, Steam): PC, Steam
  • Game Version (Shown on the Start screen in the bottom left hand corner): 1.22
  • Game Mode, including if it was Single Player or Multiplayer (Time Trial, Career, Grand Prix, Custom Game etc): Career
  • If in Multiplayer, how many players and how many AI?: na
  • What happened in the lead up to the problem?: game seemed to work, but when loading the career mode it crashes.
  • If you get an error message, the exact wording of the error message you're receiving: I don't get an error message. Sometimes I see a crash report.
  • Any accessories you are using (wheel, pad, etc): mouse and keyboard
  • If you have any videos or screenshots, please share them. If the video is long, please include a timestamp for when the issue appears: None yet

My set up is a PC with Intel i7-860, 8GB ram, Nvidia Geforce 1030 with 2gb DDR5, Samsung SSD EVO.
I have installed latest nvidia gameready drivers.

Already disable geoforce overlay option. Reinstalled drivers. DX11 and DX12 are both not working. Also tried "-safemode" in the startup settings. I did the file integrity check which came out fine.
Nothing seems to work.

Please help!

I included a DXDIAG report.

Hi steviejay69,

Thank you so so much! This totally solved all my problems. I was able to run the game at full-hd, in medium settings at a descent 40FPS. Even on High settings it would run at 27FPS.
Hardware is a bit old, but the good old I7-860 should have been up to something still. And GT1030 is entry level, but it is the one with the 2GB DDR5 memory and not the scammer version with the DDR4.
So happy now I can start playing.
Many thanks.

  • Thanks 1

Great we solved the issues. 😎

But there will be a day where the CPU does not support some of the coding, so just be wary of purchasing future releases of the game as the specification is not officially supported.
