Global refers to public[global] or friends.  Though I think it's default as cross platform.

If you can see 'DiRT Player' in the leaderboards you are on the cross platform setting.  You can only see the names of the platform you're on.

Clubs are odd because they seem to take the RaceNet name everywhere, whereas in other places in the game you're seeing the platform names (hence DiRT Player on those).

Confirmed on the website:

I'm quite sure this is not correct.
It uses the xbox live gamertag on the leaderboards (stage times), but uses the RaceNet name on the points leaderboards.
My name is different on both, but similar.

At least it's how I see it.
Ultimately confusing, thats for sure.

Yeah I'm not sure exactly how it works for the points table, but club events I know for sure use your RaceNet ID name. I actually changed mine recently just in anticipation of the Official Club and Jon's Thrustmaster Club 😅

Holding down 15th in PJ's masochistic mayhem though 💪 Really looking forward to the rest of the season, this was really fun.image.thumb.png.a263baaf48e87d118de869b2ca6fdd26.png

Well, yeah, in-game.
But on the website I see my XBL gamertag.
Maybe only I see it, and everyone else sees the RaceNet-name, not sure.
Or it is, because I log-in with my XBL account.

I may would change my RaceNet-name to the same as my XBL accounts name, because my RaceNet-name is my old XBL gamertag.
But I don't know what would happen to old leaderboard entries in TT and clubs.
Don't wanna mix them up.

Hm, you say it like there will something happen in the near future.
I'm in a club called "JA Thrustmaster" by jonny174, but that one is inactive since many, many months, probably already a year or so.
Do you know something I do not?
Or do you mean the old Expert DiRT club, wich is also inactive for a while now?

Only 9 clubs of 22 I'm in are still active, seems to get less and less recently.

Anyway...

Did my run now.
34th currently. 69:44.129...
Choosed a conservative strategy mith mediums and 1 spare.
Used the old Fiesta R5.

Problem was I didn't used it in quite a while + mediums on R5s are also quite new terrain.
Had some problems judging the grip level in the first half and did some mistakes, but was quite lucky to not hit anything.
Was pretty close twice 😄

Second half was a bit better, but far from perfect, though.
Got a 18 second time penalty on the last stage due to a mistake.

On the positive side: No dramas, no big crashes. Wheels, lights and engine were still in good shape until the end.
Not often the case after such a long scotland rally for me 😄

And the most important thing: I was faster than @PJTierney.
W00p, w00p! 🤣

They are hosting a new championship with some prizes and the aliens are out in force. It's a lot of fun so far. You missed Scotland 2000cc but we've got H2 RWD Monte Carlo this weekend, R2 Australia next, and R5 Greece to close it out.

This is also why I ran Soft & No Spare. I just can't get comfortable enough on the other tires to feel like it's worth it - lose too much pace & confidence compared to Softs and don't feel like I find any more grip 5 stages later when they're worn as well.

Well then, no thanks.
I don't get why they not just used the old club and had to create a new one.
So I missed already a rally, doesn't make much sense to join just for 3 rallies.

So I can leave that "dead" club now, I guess.

Oh I like this, thanks for providing that data. I'll try and fit it into the Codies Racing Line blog next time I write for it 🙂

Championship information is now also available at https://dr2.today

Here's a link to current round: https://dr2.today/challenges/265/entries

The rest can be found here: https://dr2.today/challenges/

Leaderboards refresh at the end of each round, so keep an eye on the site!

Startet with Dirt 2.0 in Dec. 2020, now fascinated with the club championship.

Can find all my results in the recent leaderboards of Scotland and Spain.

But I'm totally sad not to find my name in the overall championship standings.

Any ideas welcome.

Try looking on the official site, and your overall (championship) standing is available in-game too.

Thanks for help PJ.

Are we talking about this URL as official site?:

https://dirtrally2.dirtgame.com/clubs/club/179040/standings/current

Should have earned 2875 in Scotland and 2651 in Spain (so 5526 in addition) what should result in a ranking around 120.

Can find nothing what is similar to my name, but all the other guys that are near my results.

I will check the in-game leaderboard when I'm back home on Tuesday.

This question might of been asked before. In the competition how do you find what position you are in the table ? See there’s over 22000 people is there a way to find where I stand in the leaderboards ..

It's easier to do it in-game than on the website.

That's the site.

Make sure you're logged in on the right account of course.

Good morning PJ,

you brought me one step forward.

The in-game function "where am I ?" found me on rank 1188.

That's because I only got points for Spain.

But I have no idea why "the system" forgot to give me points for my rank 250 in Scotland !?

Would somebody be so kind and check that for me? 🙏

Kind regards

Holger

Did you happen to leave the club and rejoin it? If you leave it will reset all of your points, but your placement might still be retained. I looked you up on the clubs site because I was curious on this, and you definitely finished #250 and then #170 something (or around there). But you show 0 points even on the clubs site for the first event.

Maybe a good idea, but to be honest.... I don't even know how to sign out of the club.

So, that can not be the reason. Thanks for help.

@claddagh69:

Morning PJ, I've rescored the Official Dirt club, claddagh69 (nice)  is now at Rank #120.

That was scary! This club is gigantic.

You should be good now 🙂

I'm guessing the Club didn't pick up your completed run from Scotland but it should be there now. The club has over 22,000 members so we're really pushing the limits of the system here 😄

Nerver mind.... greate news.... great job. Thank you all very much.

I'm also happy that somebody likes my name. 😉

Of course all the british will know the meaning well.

I, as a german fellow, had to learn about it, beeing a great fan of the Simple Minds in former days.

Just another question please,

what is the meaning of the "downloadable content" which some events contain?

It seems that I missed to idetify it the second time now. 🤔

Welp, Greece finally did me in. Sustained a puncture two stages before service, thought I could ride out the puncture to the finish line, only for the wheel to pop and causing terminal damage. I didn't think you could get that from one puncture! In any case, RIP my championship hopes and dreams

My run was ok.
I did the decision to use all 7 cars at least once in that championship.
After the Fiesta R5 in Scotland and the Polo GTI R5 in Spain I used the 208 T16 R5 in Greece.

Felt pretty good, but ruined it a bit on the very last stage with a crash and a time penalty, lost a few positions due to this.
But still pretty good for Greece and me.

I won't do the next rally for a few weeks, but hopefully by then I'll be fast enough with the WRC wheel 🙂

I'm learning to use it now but for "competition" I'm still faster with the F1 wheel.

What rotation you using with wrc wheel?

I'm trying out 450 at the moment, just to see how it feels. I'm already having to adjust to taking hands off the wheel for the shifter 😄

Will keep plodding through . Slow, steady and get to the finish. Thats my mantra and my skill levels preclude anything else 😄.

Shame there is to be no rain in New Zealand.

However it will be interesting to see posts for the possible chaos in the latter stages of Baumholder

Especially for the cockpit drivers.....

What the hell is the new WRC wheel doing with YOU in NZL??? 😲

Was it "all or nothing" on the last stage or just your standard performance?..... 😏

Stage 6 (Night) I didn't have any headlights so I crawled through it; I lost 2 minutes there.

Stage 12 my tyres were gone so I had 1 or 2 spins as the rears had no grip, but nothing critical.

The whole thing's here:

Oooops... excuse me for that misunderstanding. 🥴

It was really meant as a compliment. After 11 stages we had a difference of 1 sec and then you stole me 11 sec on the last stage. 😵

Now knowing that you had 2 mistakes within that stage it is only much more frustrating for me....  (but only for a moment) 😆

Now I can bury my dreams to get under the top100 in my first championship.

Not only that I wrecked my car in the first stage of New England, no......

now it got me with a "connection error" (something like "you are not online into steam") during the second stage of Sweden.

After hitting the retry button nearly 30 times, I decided to close the game to drive this stage once more.

That was the absolut wrong decision, because this stage is now marked as DNF. 😭 (.... what is of course correct after thinking about it for a while)

After checking my steam account, it was indeed not reachable for nearly 20 minutes.

But, independent if steam was the reason for that, my question now is:

What is the recommended behavior in case of facing that kind of error again?

Anybody there, who would like to give a few hints what and in which order can be done in that incident?

Thanks a lot in advance.
