What career mode is better F1 2013 or F1 2014? please help

Well in 2014 you can pick any team to start with, the Career 'style' is really no different.

For me id say 14 as the AI were alot quicker and the cars were alot harder to drive with the wheel. Most races I did feel screwed by the AI running assists and getting quicker as there tyres would wear (yeah right) but thats what I found more fun about 14 (the challenge) 13 was easy against the AI and starting last didnt help much either so guess it depends which game you prefer playing (assuming you have both?) As Juice said the career is exactly the same format and features so imo just go with the one you like playing most.

Depends on which way you look at it I think. Difficulty wise I'd say 2014 is better as the AI is better than in 2013 as it's moer manageable at the lower levels  and not as insanely  aggressive as in 2013. In terms of depth though I would say 2013 because like in the earlier games you have to start right at the back and work your way up which is one of the things I liked most about the earlier games. The need to prove yourself before you'd get a look in at one of the top teams.

See I was thankfull for the choice in 14 as to me the more choice we the player have the better the game but thats just me, I was also sick of always going back to the slow cars after the previous games making it to a top team then made no1 only to be back where I started with the new game :) Guess thats cm fault as the career always was the same so for me there was no need to earn my seat again as I felt Id done that already so to speak. Thats why I like options as everyone likes to play there games different. I was thankfull Pcars has the option to start anywhere as Id done 3 seasons on my xbox starting in the karts so when I bought the ps4 version I was able to start with enduro and not have to make a name for myself again lol!

Handling: unfair (in both titles) compared to AI drivers as they start with upgraded cars and you don't. Also, AI do not suffer from tyre wear and have traction control enabled by default and set the same lap times for the whole race. AI is relatively more overpowered in 2014 (driving more than 5-8 seconds faster than real life per lap).

R&D: better in 2014. In 2013, you are often dealing with very high tyre degradation and you won't receive an update to lower this until the end of your first season. In 2014, tyre wear was the first issue that was addressed in my Career.

Conclusion: buy 2013 - V8 awesome-ness!

I think the problem really is the fact that the careers were too short tbh I mean 5 years most F1 drivers at least successful ones go at least for 15 which is 3 times that length. Not the fact you start at the back to be honest. Because personally I enjoyed the idea of starting in the Caterham/Marrussia and trying to show I can do a job and in most cases I did work my way to the front. Both Alonso and Webber started right at the back and eventually worked their way to he front and both  I wouild say have had pretty good careers. So as I said in those games I think it's the career length that's the problem not so much that you have to start from the back.

just wondering which career mode is better 2013 or 2014 overall
The best version of career mode might well be 2010 tbh. The presentation was cool for a lot of people anyway...But the physics is all that really matters when comparing 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014.
