The Dirt Daily Thread

The daily challange of today it's with my favourite car and favourite stage.. So i managed to do a good ss.
Since we can't change the car settings, i just did my best with the default settings.
Im not saying that i did a perfetct run, but was close to it.
Then i go to the classments and i see that:

I didn't think that i managed to get so high in the classments, but man, how the hell does the first one did that time?
It's 6 seconds faster than me! I know that 1 or 2 seconds are possible, but 6!

Im missing something? Do we can change the car settings or smth?

Don't worry, his times are pretty much BS. Having said that, I did just beat you :P 

There are a couple ppl that do insane times though, they might beat him but I can't see how.

Yeah Sylwesterp is a cheater that decided to pester everyone with his presence on the leaderboard. Hopefully Codemasters will have him removed soon.

yes i said earlier a perfect run probably 2:22 just remove the cheater at top already and get the anticheat running. maybe it is running and we will see a load of bans soon :)

Well my best time in practice was 2:21.8 I would've gone quicker on the daily, as I agree with @Porkhammer that the setup of the car felt different. In the case of the fiesta it felt like I had more grip so pushed a little more. I buggered up the last 2 corners otherwise I would've done a 2:21.1 I reckon.

It's really strange that the feel of the car varies. I've also felt that, but only once or twice. They state that default setup us used and I really do not see why they would lie about something like that.

If everyone goes on steam and searches Sylwesterp and reports him as a cheater, something may get done about it.

Yea I doubt they are lying just something bugged somewhere probably.

Don't know if I will bother doing the daily today... I don't care much for the 2010 cars and their enormous amounts of grip. I really struggle to get used to that, and as such will probably set an embarrasing time anyway.

We'll see.

Codemasters, I have one question, would you please leave my feedback and vibration setup alone? I just tried to race a daily rally, and my steering was all weird and messed up, had a wheel puncture in the first corner, had to forfeit the rally. -_-'

I tried it in the weekly a few weeks back. The first stage was a night stage. I couldn't see anything... and they still haven't fixed it.

The Mini feels more neutral/understeery than the Fiesta on default setup.

I've never done such a bad rally stage ever.. first corner, ditch.. 3rd corner, ditch (+30 sec penalty already), a bump followed in a rearwheel puncture (of course), at this point I was already frustrated but in the sence of rally spirit I carried on, lost control again, flipped the car, headlights gone, I was now driving in the dark on 3 wheels and no sight, managed a total loss of time of 2 minutes and 12 seconds. This was not worth the daily. I'm going to practice again just like everybody else.

I didn't have any spins or crashes, but I'm still learning to drive in this game. I'm a bit over 30 seconds behind the leader :smile: Can't wait for the FFB fix though, that might improve things a bit

Yes me too. Spent most of the time upside down on my roof  in the dark lol. retired out disgracefully. Better luck next time.

I actually drove better without headlights after some offroad excursion. But not much better...
