I had not driven the default Mini Countryman setup in a while... Man, that was a quick rage-quit. Not a default setup i can adjust to that quickly. :D

Hmm well my Metro daily on Verbundsring went... I don't know what to say. I had so many surprise slide moments that it felt like I lost at least six months worth of time, but 3:10 is apparently very good for the Metro according to a friend on Steam... so we will see.

3.16.6 and currently 9th with the Metro! Possibly two top ten runs in a row - this is unheard of!
That 3:10 is a monster time, @Porkhammer ! And as always really eye-opening to see your video afterwards and see it's because you've driven a cleaner run than everyone else (even taking into account a couple of sideways moments).

Struggled a lot more with the car in the wager. Just waited for it to take an unexpected bounce, so took it very carefully. Currently 39th.

Daily: Went fine, didn't have any horrible accidents, like I usually do with the MG :) 3:27, could've been a bit better, but I'm fine with that

Wager: Everything was going smooth, got to the last little bit and though to myself: "Well, home stretch, nothing bad should happen here, or should it?..." and at that very second I went off the track and into the trees :D Was able to recover a few seconds before the reset. Not the greatest result, but I'm still in the top tier, so again, fine by me :D

Daily: Polo, Sweden. Horrid default setup with a topspeed of 203 kph meant that I couldn't go any quicker than 3:12. I'm currently leading it but I have a feeling that'll change. Not that I mind, pretty happy with my driving for a change, despite a couple of sloppy corners.

Owners' club: Fiat, Greece. I only needed a single practice run and setup edit to have this car feeling perfect. Was going for a 3:47 on this event, but sadly I pushed way too hard and ended up almost losing it a handful of times, so I had to settle for a 3:50. Not bad I suppose, but still kicking myself for trying to push beyond the car's limit.

Interesting, been having similar results to PH this past week or so, didn't give a crap about going fast in todays D1, rewarded with a (good for me) 43rd place just 21 seconds of @Porkhammer's time :)

Probably for the best i don't really talk about the owners club, was going fine until a spin and a beech moment :(

D1: very defensive driving, and then a silly error in the fast uphill, went off to deep powder skiing =) Cost me 3-4 secs, would have been P5, and this in a snowy daily! I even noticed that my old record is 3:20 with this car/track combination. However, now I have to go with a 3:26 and current P15. No attempt on daily 2.

RS200 - spun 360 once & killed spectators further along the stage, lost over 40 seconds. It's no wonder they banned Group B....

Daily: RX - skipped.
Delta: RS200 - Lysvik, Sweden. Was aiming for a 5:25, but a couple of snowbank visits put an end to that. Happy to  not have had any spins though. However, the default setup was absolutely awful and I couldn't use the full potential of the car.

Codies, again, please - do a rehaul of the default setups. First gear of the RS200 was useless - a toddler could crawl quicker. It also understeered at low speed, and the steering became hypersensitive at very high speeds. Some very basic setup changes would make this car completely different and extremely enjoyable, who made this setup and thought "yeah this feels good"? Ack.

RX Daily abandoned because the default setup is awful and the Ai cretins are on rails

RS200 in Sweden went much better with just the one spin, currently top tier.

Hate the default setup on the RX supercars. And to top it all, some AI gives me a 360 spin out and while I try to get back on the track, the stewards give me a corner cutting penalty. Seriously, like I could get back on track any other way? Crooks.

I had the same thing, heading into the same corner and get rammed from behind by some Mr Magoo who is going for the joker.!

I had this mess the other day, I get side winded by some guy, sent off track then I get the penalty.

Daily: PP - not in the mood for this, so skipping for the time being.
Owners' club: One of my favourite cars on one of my favourite tracks. My target time was 5:45, but I ended up having a lousy pair of final sectors and losing 3 seconds, so had to settle for a 5:48. That's life I guess.

Pikes Peak: In the first run I oversteered, in the tricky right before the last two tarmac haipins and went down the hill. Second run: same mistake in the same curve.. managed to continue, but lost almost 10secs and gave away a clear lead. Pitty pitty. No attempt on daily 2, I've seen this track enough for the moment.

And the worst default setup award goes toooooo ... the Hyundai i20! Jeebus what a mess. It's so disgustingly soft that it actually loses speed mid-corner, and it doesn't help that someone thought it'd be a great idea to have front bias brakes, meaning you're slow going into the corners as well. Throwing the car around too hard to counter its disgusting soft nature tips the car over. I cannot adjust to this kind of car setup for the life of me, so I guess I'm just bad... and my driving on the daily event was so terrible that I just alt-f4'd after crossing the finishline. A giraffe could have driven it better.

/rant over :D

D1: a ride full of big mistakes and a daily to forget quickly.
D2: went nicely until a well known high speed-right, crash and puncture for the last 1.5 sectors. Surprisingly, I lost only 10secs with this incident. But "what if" does not count in dailies haha.

D1:  Not bad, 43rd i think :)

D2: Wow, now i know what it's like to drive with what felt like the Monte setup in, um, not Monte?  I also know, that having been ejected from the stage several times due to the amazingly hard setup and getting a puncture, that the very open diff it was running meant i couldn't get up the hill right near the end and i had several on stage resets for 'not moving' - actually tried turning round and reversing, which oddly worked.

Not sure if i don't know how diffs work, or that they don't work correctly in reverse?

TLDR, 5 minutes slower than the fastest, which even for me is unheard of.

Started off with the owners' club daily, 1995 Subaru at Järvenkylä, Finland. I spent a good 20 minutes trying to adjust to the car, which, predictably, failed... so I hopped into the event trying to get a clean run in. Naturally I turn in slightly too early over a blind crest and land in the ditch, but managed to save it. Lost heaps of speed and a good 2 seconds, but I guess I should be happy to finish.

Kadett, Monaco... done. Had a 3:08.5 in mind, but then I almost lost it in a high-ish speed section, but miraculously recovered. 3:10.0 was the result. I shan't complain.

Finished both dailies, woop.

Finished top tier in both dailies, pretty chuffed with that considering the Kadett reminds me of how squirmy my MKII Escort is and I played Russian roulette in Finland with several trees but managed to come out with only one minor spin in the trusty Impreza!

Daily: So this is how you drive a waterbed.
Owners': Crash boom bang. Beat my PB by 7 seconds in practice though. Shouldn't have pushed on the daily.

Another start line glitch in the owners daily, in the cut scene at the start the car drove itself of the road facing the trees ! so that's where I started the stage:)

Fiesta: Fortunately I read this thread before doing the daily so I was warned about the waterbed. Normally I jump straight in, but now I took a few practice runs to adjust. That was vital! What a setup. Currently 4th on alphabetical order! B)

Evo: Don't like that car. At all. We. Are. Not. Friends.
Used most of the shakedowns on the black arts of setup adjustments. Didn't help enough. Car suddently understeered at high speed. Crashed into a gate and lost my headlights.

Dailies went poorly but then I don't practice beforehand which might be a good idea in future. Nearly wrote the Festa off but scraped across the line and quit out of the R4 one after going through 2 sectors well only to come a cropper with those insanely solid mounds of  'gravel' at the side of the road in sector 3 which resulted in 'Mr Mitsubishi, meet Mr Tree.. and his close friends'

The end.

In the Evo daily crashed off course on the second turn and didn't really see a point in continuing so just Alt+F4'd
