Somehow the dailies are cursed and the rather clean runs are gone..
Lancia: How I like the S4 on Greece gravel. Well, 3,2,1 go and few seconds later BOOOOMM! Haha, crash and off to the bushes.. Decided to continue but easily lost 7secs or even more.

I actually managed a 2:45.4 in practice with the C4, but on the daily itself I hit the rocks on the outside of the first corner (...) which caused a minor timeloss, and me to push the car slightly beyond its limits to make up time, and with wonky V2 tarmac physics making no sense I hit some more rocks and Alt-f4'd.

Ugh. So many mistakes on the 205 daily. Had a 5:14; 5:15 in mind, but thanks to about 50 billion small noob mistakes, I had to settle for a 5:18. The faster the car is, the more awkward V2 tarmac feels.

No attempt on D1 with the beast, too hard to control for me.

D2: Was looking forward to the Subaru on Oberstein. Unfortunately, my run was full of small and medium mistakes. Could have gone a lot faster with a clean run. Anyways, if you don't bring it together, you don't deserve it.

Did ok with the Pug in Germany, finished top tier despite some wobbly moments, for me it's a lot about lifting regularly as opposed to been too hard on the brakes.

But then I'm a noob :)

The Group A Escort daily went better than expected; it didn't act up that badly on me - I only had myself to blame for a couple of bad corners. Definitely lost a couple of seconds.

Daily: Stratos, Monaco... went very well. I tried a little too hard in a couple of corners, but I don't think I lost that much time on it. 1.5 seconds tops.
Delta: Metro, Sweden... mostly nice and tidy, aimed for a 2:45, but a little rookie mistake in the beginning prevented this from happening. 2:47 is nice too.

Decided to give the fully manual a gearbox a very first try today (used semi-automatic so far). So since a long time, I really practiced hard for a daily event. The event itself went surprisingly well and I made it to the finish with the Stratos; not really fast but I am fully happy with that. I always thought it would be too hard to do the shifting in parallel, but it wasn't all that hard. I still don't know at all which gear to take in which corner, but control over the car clearly improved, especially when breaking. So I probably will stick to it and try to improve. Looking forward!

Daily: Integrale, Germany - trying a little too hard, hopefully I didn't lose too much time on those moments.
Owners' club: Fiat, Finland - Nice, clean, and tidy - drama kept to a minimum.

Was doing ok in the Daily in Germany, until AMD decides (mid-turn) that it's a good time to ask if I want to upgrade drivers... Anyone know what option(s) I change choose in the AMD software so I'm never interrupted again? This has happened too many times... :-(

Is it just me or is the Integrale decidedly over-steery on default set up, had a couple of spins out of nothing.

Huh, haven't had that yet Roustabout. Don't see many options in the tabs at the bottom of the main interface either.
The main thing i do whenever installing AMD is watch for the checkbox about auto-downloading drivers, like the very first or second screen you should see after starting up the driver setup.

Did the dailys today, went pretty ok. Got a sub-3 minute time with the Lancia (well barely, 2:59.6, but that still counts :D) and a 3:31 with the Fiat, kept that thing at redline in the 5th gear most of the time

Daily: Not in the mood for Pikes Peak these days, maybe it will come before reset, but I doubt it.
Delta: Very happy with this run. Very nice, clean driving - and very tidy as well. It was also a pretty quick time!

Daily done, 2007 Focus on Pra d'Alart. I find it very difficult to adjust to this car, it's just too easy to drive with tons and tons of grip - even on the snow! The setup was too soft as well, and the steering felt sluggish. I did my best trying to cope with it, but my run had some mistakes in it, regardless. At least the tarmac bits went smooth...ish.

Happy with both dailies! No big mistakes in both runs, for once. Used manual gearbox in both dailies, still room to improve the shifting, since it is like learning the tracks for the second time, but I am pleased so far how it goes.

Congrats, amazing time man! I could only hold your pace in the snowy section. One question: I noticed that you seem to upshift always pretty late and you seem to shift as few as possible. Is that the fastest way to drive with each car or are there differences?

I don't know, I just don't like shortshifting. I always shift at red light. Whether it's quick or not I do not know.

It definitely sounds better (for most cars) :D

I had driven many cars on Night/Snow Monte Carlo, but not the Focus 2007. The amount of grip was so disturbing i retired because i kept fighting my muscle memory too much. Well, poop.

And an unlucky terminal in the wager. Agh, and i like the stage!

Daily: RX - skipped.
Owners' club: M3, Oberstein - in sunny conditions! Nice. 5:42 seemed achievable, trying a little too hard on the daily though and lost some time on tiny nub mistakes. Had to settle for a 5:46.

Both dailies went nicely overall, manual gearbox inceases stability a lot and makes it easier to stay on the road. I wonder why I switched so late to manual shifting.. Should have tried this out much much earlier!

D1: was driving very defensively and probably didn't use 5th gear as much as I should have, but a pretty clean run for me though.
D2: quite some mistakes but I am happy how it went, no crash or so.
