This one was a bust. Lost both rear tires and retired :D Got 3:25, while practicing :D
Pretty sure the rear tires on a mini are just for show lol. Bad luck man.

They actually do quite a good job keeping the rear of the car pointing to the rear :D

I actually drove better without headlights after some offroad excursion. But not much better...
With Countrymann at night stages I am getting same idea about headlights all the time...

Hmm, well I did a 3:11 in practice then slammed into a tree and got a puncture on the third corner... dare I say the car felt different than in practice =\

Missed 'Posts' jump badly, avoided all rods, but went to oposite field with stream... My bad as I forgot Mini acts like mountain goat...

I just amazed myself - I don't consider myself quick in any front wheel drive car. But here it went very, very smooth (I hardly even used the brakes), and I set a 3:07 in practice, and a 3:06.4 on the daily itself. It's the quickest time so far. I even recorded it, because this is a rare occasion... a full FWD stage without offs!

Maybe it has something to do with the glorious FFB patch? Hmm. :) I will share the replay soon.

Wow, good job man. Are you still using 270 degrees or did you increase it to something more sensible.

I honestly can't be bothered learning to play with higher degrees... takes too long to learn. Keep in mind that I was stuck with the Logitech Wingman Formula Force GP for 10 years - with a maximum rotation of 180 degrees. That stuff imprints itself. I only changed to 270 recently... and that was a big step for me, but I'm fine with it so far. Don't see any reason to turn more as it just means more work and losing time doing all that practicing. So I'm still at 270. :)

EDIT: Here's the daily!

Nice. I wish you would stick to the onboard cam though =) The mini is pretty fun when you realise just how fast you can chuck it round the bends with the front wheels scrambling to keep you on the road.

The new FFB made the mini sooo much more enjoyable to drive :)

Another day, another front wheel drive car... and another good result! Second overall so far. FWD cars are a lot better to drive with this new FFB patch, that's for sure. But I still hate the Fulvia. I will post the replay later. :)

I had an off on the 2 left at the end and dropped at least 10 seconds. Was having a good run up until then.
Sorry to hear that! I think I know which bend you mean. The one with a big lovely impenetrable poster at the outside?

Can't believe I was 22 seconds slower than ji1 in the Mk2, my favourite car. I had one very quick 360 spin which cost 5-8 secs, but as for the rest??? Maybe I was just too cautious, but to lose that much :(

Yeah time is easily lost on the longer stages if one is the least bit cautious.

My run went alright, nearly went off the cliff at one point which made me back off just a little bit, but a 6:19.0 is very nice and I'm happy with that. It took a while to record it... the framerate kept dropping to like 0.5, so I had to cancel the recording, rewind the replay to the beginning, and start over again. After trying this 5 times, I realised that it didn't work... so I had to wait for the lag to appear, pause the replay, turn the recording off, and then on again, and resume the replay. Pffffffffffffff.

I hate having a crappy PC.

Also, Sylwesterp seems to have invited his girlfriend to the ranks, just look at who beat ji1 with 8 seconds. Haha!

Note to self.. There are no wheels on the roof and such tends to be slower than the right way -up

Here's how my daily went

Well that was just boring, no barrel rolls or reverse driving. Still I suppose  that's how get through a stage more than a minute faster than a mere mortal.

Bravo!! good driving.          ....    ...git

The car must have been un-upgraded unlike Custom Event practice, i had Ridiculous understeer in the Daily. I am noticeably better on Monaco with Subaru, always, but the under-steer caught me off-guard. :/

I tried doing a couple of practice runs first, understeered so much that I'd have had more of an effect shouting "Left, Right" at the screen than I was having using my pad. After going over the edge for the umpteemth time I gave up and turned it off
