Was going to bed.... but the C4 in Sweden is just too lovely to pass. Did some really bad turns and got stuck in some snow, but somehow managed to squeeze in 7 seconds behind Fisu. With some luck it'll be good enough for a top 10 :-D

Nice daily today - Kadett on River Severn Valley. My run was going well until the very end where I picked the wrong line over a crest and clipped a fence on the outside. The rear took off, but a quick flick on the wheel and I was back in control! Missed out on a 5:53.xx though; had to settle for a 5:55.1!

Love the Kadett. Had a nice run today.
Doing my dailys in VR now. It helps a bit to judge distances, but hinders a bit in clarity of image.
I don't seem to be any faster or slower than i was before but it's fun and immersive indeed.
10 seconds behind Porkhammer's OK with me and my auto trans.
 :)

It was the one thing that concerned me was going the vr route and ending up slower its good to hear that you feel its on par, is it worth taking the plunge ?

In the monthly changed to manual sequential shifter after I got fed up with the Evo's premature upshifts with the automatic.
When I started the daily, it was still in manual, so I wen't with it and it actually went pretty well (note that I have always been an automatic gearbox driver in DiRT). With the Kadett I was 82nd out of 2100, in the wager it was a bit lower, but still getting the max return.

Daily: RX - skippetydoodaa, skippetydaaay. My, my, my are these RX cars .. clay.
Delta: HNNNNNGH could have been a sub 6 minute run, but the tiniest mistake in Finland makes one lose sooo much time.

Tell me about it. On the fast part with the jumps I overcompensated and started skidding bacn and forth, and had to go down to 4th gear. And then I did the same thing again. I have no idea how I can still be on the top 10 after that.

It's pretty great at making you feel the size and weight of the car, and you can dive into the corners more confidently seeing 3D for sure.
Its kinda low-fi clarity just makes you realize how greater the next gen is going to be.
Once it gets as high res as a nice monitor, it'll be mindblowing.

Tried to go a little too flat out in Finland today. Clipped a tree with the left rear and spun out.
Didn't blow a tire though so i kept going, but losing around 10 seconds left me with a 6:17

I couldn't adjust properly to the Mk2 default gearing in today's Wales daily... 1st was useless, 2nd was too short, and 3rd was a bit too long to replace 2nd. It confused me in a handful of corners, and I lost some time as a result. Foxtrot uniform charlie kilo.

Owners' daily, M3 in a very slippery Monaco sprint stage... would have been happy with this run if I hadn't clipped a wall. Now I'm going to sulk for the rest of the day. ;)

Ugh. Awful daily run, just awful. Too many mistakes and I didn't even manage a sub 3 minute run. I regret uploading that crap already.

Wager: Grrrrrr. Went offroad and threw away a possible lead. Did this event again in individual mode and set a 2.57. Pitty pitty!

My Subaru daily in Sweden was too bad to upload. I had a nice 3:01 in practice with very smooth and relaxed driving, so I wanted to push for a 2:58 in the daily. Mistake upon mistake and I crossed the finishline with a crappy 3:04, which just isn't acceptable. Damned rotten luck.

Manta daily in Finland went a bit better; I so nearly binned it right at the end though... but I got it back. Definitely costed me a second or two though. Whether the time is quick or not for the Manta remains to be seen.

Oculus CV1. :)

Well after crashing both my dailys yesterday, today i had a really nice ride in Sweden. First place at the moment.
My run in Finland with the Manta was bouncy but super fast too until the very last corner where i went squirly and into the trees.
Probably lost 10 sec turning back around leaving me out of the top 10.

Daily: Integrale, Finland - Lady Luck was not with me. Numerous misshifts and a couple of badly picked lines, but happy to have managed a sub 3 minute time at least.

Delta: 306 Maxi, Wales - Again I was unlucky. I think in the second or third sector, my monitor cut out briefly... paused the game and waited for that p.o.s to stop being a c-word, and then resume my run. Most of the rhythm was gone, and thus the time that could potentially have been a 2:55-2:56 ended up a 2:58.

Daily: Practice went pretty well - 6:11 with clean driving - but in the daily I braked a tad too late for that mid-section steep downhill into a hairpin, and went slightly off the road. Took a bit longer than I wanted to get back up, sooooo.. Alt-f4. Could have been a nice 6:07 or so I reckon.

Also, codies... please fix the default gearing of the Sierra. It is by far the worst in the entire game, which is a shame since the car is lovely to drive when properly adjusted.

My good Daily run wouldn't disappoint me if it was not for that one single mistake in the square left near the end. Ugh.
The default gearing is interesting indeed, third gear reaches what, 155kmh almost?

Wager: No Comment, lost control where i often do.

Had some good dailies today. A few mistakes with the Escort, hit the side bank which sent me flying but landed back on the road. 52st out of 763 currently.
Went a bit better with the Fiat. It seems to be a bit easier using manual in the older cars. It's a bit funny - you're going pretty slow, but in the hairpins when the rear lets go, it happens really fast and you have to countersteer really fast, so it's like balancing between some chill driving and frantic countersteering :D Currently 33rd out of 628

Daily: Group A Escort, Wales ... awkward to drive this thing. It's understeery and extremely down on power, and it has no suspension. Did what I could with it. Messed up in the final righthander with some understeer.

Delta: Time to poor to be worth uploading.

Both dailies went ok, some mistakes as always..

Has somebody further information on these two fast guys on the recent daily leaderboards - stkooza & Michaelmsigtx. CREST looks alright, but only a few races done so far. Aliases of known drivers?
