The Dirt Daily Thread

S4 daily was intense and fun - had a lot of moments, but somehow managed to get away from them and reach the stage end with no damage.

Daily 1: RS200, Wales - pretty good run. Had a good flow most of the time. Almost caught out by a late note, but I rescued it... for once. Don't think it was a very quick time as I simply don't dare pushing anymore. Not with these notes.

Daily 2: Any Group B 4WD car, Wales. I picked the Metro, because sound. Two mistakes. First one was me seeing something I didn't think could happen in Dirt 4, I mean that's Dirt Rally physics right there. But it happened. Took a brave-ish line through a left 3, and the nose went airborne completely. No warning. Send me out on the grass.

Second was because of - you guessed it - a late note. She called the right 2 when I was IN the corner. Luckily there was a bank, and I threw the car sideways into it. No noticable damage. Still, very annoying. I doubt the time was any good for this daily either, for reasons mentioned above.

These ****ing notes, man.

Yeah, i barely saved myself on that "Right 2" note as well, what the hell - There is a VERY steep crest, tell me "Left 5, Caution, Crest, Right 2" instead of "Left 5, Crest ... ... Right 2".

The run wasn't good anyway for my Quattro - the shakedown split didn't imply i needed max ride height, nearly wrecked my suspension from scraping the ground.

Was just coming on here to talk about that 'right 2' in the Daily Delta lol
I drove head first into the bank & spun... then she told me about it.  :(

Happy with this one. RS200 daily was kinda bad, just jumped straight into it, in first sector i went off in the transition to the forest area but lost only like 3 seconds somehow, then in last sector i guess the right 2 surprised me and went sideways into the dirt wall and half flipped + punctured tire. Lost quite little those things considering to the #1 spot...

2nd one picked the peugeot, didnt really change setup just went for it. Bit more camber and shorter gears. Could feel the tires spinning alot and struggling with finding grip, but stayed on the road mostly and no major mistakes. Clutched the top position on the 2nd daily :D

Daily 1: 60's Mini, Spain. There is no easier combo. Even a dog could do this I reckon. But not me!

Understeered into a sign and came to a complete stop. Farewell dirt4.exe. Excuuuuuse me for wanting to push for a change. It happens like once every ten days in Dirt 4.

Daily 2: Alpine, Australia. Hypersensitive steering. Couldn't keep it on the road for long. We wave goodbye to the dirt4.exe once more.

Was far too timid in the Mini, but first time driving it so... meh.

The Alpine was a blast to drive, first RWD that I've really liked in D4. Behaved much like the 037 did in DR. Managed to mess up on two corners badly, one from pacenotes and one due to me overdriving and spinning off the road. But it was fun :-)

Quattro felt pretty good in the owners' club today. I could cruise through without any major incidents.

It baffles me every time as I watch the replay from the TV camera to snap a few screenshots just how fast this car is going. I don't feel this at all when driving, but on replays... WOOSH! Yikes!

Ohhhh, quttro daily :-D Hope I can have the energy for that once I get home. That's one car that I think feels real good in D4, even on default setup.

Quattro handling was good. However i had three squirts off track with what I felt was minimal contact to the track edges that ruined my run.

Well, apparently i was fastest (sofar) in the RX daily, and also won the quattro daily even with some action right near the end ??? I'll take it anyway. Quattro was feeling pretty alright, even though its a bit boaty .

I actually jumped into the RX daily with the Ford RS200 - the understeeriest car in the land. Much like the Quattro daily, I just cruised through the event. But I had a bit of fun, at least. Would've been more fun with less rear grip, however.

Really? I thought the RS200 felt really awesome. Sure, some understeer, but mostly a shitload of oversteer. Really enjoyable :)

I may have worded it wrong. It regained grip too easily and quickly after oversteering nicely into most corners, so it gave me the impression of understeer as I had to keep turning hard into the corners to even drag the thing around them.

I want it to powerslide! aaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Daily 1: Some R5 thing in Sweden. Boring, because I can't feel the limits of the car when it is this easy to drive. Fight me you stupid egg. Maybe the time was fast though, who knows? I didn't really make any mistakes, just backed off a little too much in a couple of spots.

Daily 2: Metro.. in some location. I couldn't jump into it because I'm using the Metro in a championship. I tried to finish it but I got bored when I couldn't get it to feel right. It overreacts a lot to small steering inputs. First time I alt-f4'd career mode.

Maybe I'll be less bored of hypersensitive steering later on...

I got the same feeling about steering , so Dirt 4 is the first game ever, where I use 100% softlock option and it feels much better than fixed 450 or 540 DOR!

Managed to survive the Metro daily by going very slowly. My Wales setup didn't give me the confidence boost I had hoped for. It feels amazing in Wales as well as Australia, but not so much in Michigan. It was way, WAY too soft. Note to self - make a different setup for this location! :D Just look at how disturbingly soft this setup is!

Did the Impreza daily there.  Overestimated the pace and overdrove the stage & went off at least 3 times.  Still managed top 20 (so far)!

Daily 1: Renault 5, Wales. Hypersensitive steering, low fps, tricked by the notes. Alt-f4.
Daily 2: Picked Sierra, Sweden. Couldn't get the car to feel like it's supposed to, threw me off quite literally. Alt-f4.

Both cars RWD, both having understeer problems. Seems legit.

Daily 1: Mk2, Australia. Very awkward to drive this car with a setup. Even more so with default setup. It doesn't want to turn properly, and its gears are awkward. But I dragged it through the stage, so there's that.

Daily 2: Stratos, Michigan. This car still thinks I am using 50 degrees of rotation, so it was impossible for me to even attempt going quickly. Granny driving is all I could manage while keeping it on the road, and minor mistakes still happened.
