Daily: Another pants-shitting run. Bouncing all over the stage like mad. It seriously feels like I only have a 5% chance to actually finish the run when I drive Finland flat out like this. Really gives you a new kind of respect for those people who manage to consistently finish top in events almost every day.

The normal daily (not owner's) has full upgrades as a "demo" for that car's capabilities. Funny enough, unlike most comments here, i also can upgrade cars via the normal daily, not just owner's etc.

Thats strange, I bought a Sierra last night and the upgraded car honestly doesn't feel much different!

Daily: A couple of close calls, but I'm very pleased to be within half a second of König's monster time.
Owners' club: Nice, clean run. The tarmac fellows and fellowettes will definitely hammer it into the ground, but meh. I'm happy with this.
What view do you use when driving @Porkhammer ?
I tried a few different views on my dailies last night for a laugh. Tried the cockpit view for the first  (where we can see the dash & delete the steering wheel/arms) in the 306 in Germany, was awful, like really frustratingly bad for feeling what way the car was pointing or pivoting.  Actually off-putting!  If this is the view that you use, i would completely agree that it feels horrific!!?

I use bonnet camera, I record my replay cameras from the cockpit though as it has been requested by Youtube viewers. :) I could never drive from that camera though... I get no sensation of where the rest of the car is at all. Maybe if I had triple monitors or something...

Same as myself then.
Though I am starting to really enjoy using the dash camera.  Its a bit harder to judge exactly where the passenger side of the car is on the tighter stuff, but it gives a great sensation of direction and under/oversteer

I always find incar views hard to drive quickly, particularly with 1 monitor. It just doesn't feel real as I can't get the position I'd like to be sat in IRL.

I've sat in a Fiesta WRC before and the driving position that driver had was perfect for me too, I could see so much and where the corners of the car were.

I know you boys don't need a way of finding more speed (lol), but personally, I can push far harder on the 3's, 2's and 90 degree corners in finland and take a nicer line over the jumps with the dashcam!

What I have found with the dash camera though, is, with the monitor up close, it just doesn't work for me in the same way the bonnet cam does.  I have had to move my monitor back from behind the wheel by around a foot, to almost create the same depth as the dashboard/windscreen would have IRL.
It feels like you are in a rally car, no on top of one, when used to judging the car and its size on a stage, the view is really addictive!  I would recommend it, even just for fun on the wide-open finland!! :)

I'll have to give that a try, Kev. Dash cam is the most tolerable in-car cam IMO.

Man...seems like 1/4th the time we get a Wales daily it's with the damn Mini S. Pls stahp. #stopvehiclediscrimination #equalrightsforallvehicles

Braking early in the daily was a key factor, I'd say.
I had a lapse of concentration in my run through the woods and lost a lot of time (almost lost the car as well). As such, I didn't achieve the sub 3:40 time I was aiming for.

Owner's club: I just can't control the v1 cars now that I've gotten used to v2. The physics/ffb constantly wanted to jerk the car into the ditch, and eventually I obliged. Sort of got to the finish line with both rear wheels on the rim.

Daily: I actually managed a 3:28 in practice, which isn't bad for default setup. On the event itself, however.. predictably, the car went up on two wheels and dragged me into a ditch. Thank you, moron. I actually got away with it, but the time at the end was crap enough for me to decide not to upload it at all.

Owners' club: I managed a 2:56 in practice by just cruising through, and when trying to cruise through the daily I went off in a third gear corner. Why I do not know. More ragequits, weee. I figured I'd do another custom event with morning/rain conditions and see what time I could achieve when pushing a little, and got a nice 2:52 that I recorded.

Daily: Practice was mainly just figuring out how to take certain corners without rolling the car. It's obvious this car has some of the weirdest physics in the game at the moment. Managed a 3:26 in my run. Really surprised because my best in practice was 4 seconds slower. Got really lucky to have gotten such a nice run without experiencing some dumb rollover or flying through the air sideways.

The default anti-roll bar for Scoobie in Finland is definitely too strong for how soft and high the suspension is.

Well that was alarmingly obnoxious...

Started with the owners Intergrale, i've raced it a lot, though not since the last update.
- Apparently i can no longer drive it, rear puncture on the 3rd corner!

Daily with the S7
- Kept rolling over and I finished with two punctures on opposing diagonal wheels.....

Impreza daily - 3.45 on practice, disaster on the event

first 3 right has a flag of death on the apex... Picked that up & failed to accelerate for the next few hundred yards. Shook it off, got going and picked up a nice pace.  Got on two wheels over a small brow, caught it before a roll but was way out at the road edge, caught the bank & spun...

Another day where i whale it out and completely lose a tire with the Lancia, even the rim itself. Oops. I will never remember to stop crashing that corner.

Daily: zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Owners' club: Driving hard, but also making sure I don't get caught out by Finland's many traps. I reckon I did well, but we'll see what others can do.

Dirt daily sucked for me, can go through the stage quicker in my escort.  Delta daily/owners club was fun, at the moment it is inside the top 500 which is good for me as I am still working on getting my wheel sorted to a nice place.
