I had a similar incident to P-Hamms yesterday, but when I got going again, I went over a moderate jump and landed with 2 bangs from both the rears, and had to tip-toe through the rest of the stage because I had no choice :D

"Two wheels on my wagon..."

PRA D'ALART! YES!
Ekhm - Didn't crash, in practice i realized i really can't push the limit in this combo, so did what i could. :)

Citroen one? I use dailies for leveling, so yeah, relaxing drive with 0 upgrades.

About half a million micro mistakes adding up to about one second lost. Annoyed with the time loss, happy with a finish.

I don't really do the online stuff, maybe a daily or two, but good lord. I managed to somehow pop a rear tire by hitting the front end on a safety rail. I didn't even hit it that hard. I was then reduced to having to finish the stage at 30mph since any faster and I couldn't take a turn 6 without spinning in circles, anything tighter and I had to go down to 5. I'm no expert, but I feel like on rims should be like ice skates. You don't see skaters try to carve and slide across the rink.

There is certainly something odd with the 205, i drove like my Grandma and the radiator light came on when i landed gently from a jump, even recorded the replay to make sure i hadn't smacked anything off track, i think i topped 100mph or in the stage and yet ended with a cracked windscreen.

Feels like the lighter the car you choose the harder it lands... o.O

Messed up on both dailies, getting oversteer out of nowhere with both cars, due to not playing them all that much. Ah well, I had a pretty successful run in the Finnish rally for the Monthly.

Behavior of Stratos is well known. And Greece... So I drove it very carefully. Bye-bye, Top Tier ))

But new car... Oh, now I don't afraid Stratos! Now I have a new monster for my nightmares! It even can run (for example) to the left, despite that I steer to the right!

No spoilers for the wager! It's a blind daily

How is it blind, if you can see it in the Events page in dirtgame.com?
For now. The purpose of this one is for it to be blind, aka you don't know what's coming up. So please don't spoil the fun for everyone. You know, in the spirit of fair play ;)

They could come up with a way so that when a wager hits, the Car and Stage/Conditions are hidden on the website, maybe even the times, just show names and positions. Would be nice.

I'm struggling in practice with the 037. For starters, I'm not allowed to use manual clutch because I can't heel-toe, and if I can't heel-toe it'll spin around at every braking point - so regular H-box without clutch it is.

Then it is the matter of the weather conditions. If it would have been morning/rain it would have been fine, but morning/overcast has identical grip levels to dry conditions... but the road looks wet, so my puny mind can't quite work it out. I can't go fast on a wet road no matter how much grip there is, because my brain just tells me "it's wet, be careful" - so my practice times have been mediocre. Barely under 6 minutes, when I know I can do 5:53's. I'll try to adjust more to it later, but putting dry grip on wet tarmac is just ... aaargh.

Well after sliding into some rocks and having some scary understeer AND oversteer moments... I managed to finish. Not happy with the time, but a finish is a finish. I jumped straight into the wager event afterwards... figured I'd do some testing in shakedown. Hit "start stage" instead. Yippee. Being a bit of a chicken, I drove cautiously through the stage trying to adjust to the car as I went along, but I think the time wasn't too bad after all. Now to spank that time in custom event to feel better about myself! :D

EDIT: Haha, I actually managed to be a full 13 seconds quicker than my daily time, and that is with some sloppy moments. Just goes to show that I am garbage without warmup.

Was it just me or was the 037 very heavy on the wheel. It was a real workout to turn it through the slow corners. (No power steering, maybe? Though I haven't noticed it in any other of the old cars.) Anyhow, I prefered it to the regular no-feedback-on-tarmac that we normally have.

The wager was probably the worst possible combination of stage and car for me. Drove with extreme caution to at least get into the middle tier, but looks like I'm well within the top tier. Yay!
Slow is fast(ish). I'm slowly starting to learn that.

The 037 is still waiting for V2 physics. That's why. :)

Might just be me, but I'd like to see the 'hiddenness' of the wager and daily swapped around. The standard daily I shouldn't know what to expect, but making the wager without knowing details is bettig blind and that's never a good idea. Would be good if you could make your bet based upon the information.

Although I see that the downside is that folk would practice it several times over before starting. Literally hadn't thought of that until I started writing. I ain't got time for that!

I honestly think thats the first time I have driven the Lancia (like I keep saying, the game has nothing to walk me in its direction), and it didnt go too well!  The first hairpin I arrived at resulted in a spin on the handbrake.  After that, I just drove through the stage for a sunday drive, thinking to myself 'this car would be awesome in Finland!!).

Wager - didnt fancy it

Finland : Hit a bush to the side, a soft bush so it wasn't a crash. Lost 3 lights because of it. Kept driving with 1 light, eventually I lost that one too.
Kept going in the dark (it seemed easier to go dark than having only 1 light) and ended up at 3.59.

The stage in Greece went smooth. Maybe I was holding back a bit much.

And also. I would like to see the position I end up in the day after the event is complete. Sure it's nice to know where  you finish in the bottom/middle/half. But it's nice to see the position as well.
