The Dirt Daily Thread

Recommended Posts

Daily: 2:23.0 in practice, crash on the daily because Dirt Rally's clutch is retarded and won't register gears if you're one millisecond too late.
Owners' club: 3:04.325 in practice. I recorded it because I predicted that I was going to crash in the daily. Turns out I was right.

Daily: I decided to stop doing rallycross dailies as I just can't see the fun in doing them.
Owners' club: Awkward physics, but I think I managed a decent run, despite being a little too careful in places.

What's up with dirtgame.com giving me error messages when trying to view leaderboards?

I guess I continue sounds like a noob, but I´m confused about cars today. Is the Audi upgraded or not??-,cuz I need to buy the car before race online,-have been practised with a stock car...

And what about the Subaru?

Ok never mind,-got an answer

Racenet has been screwed for me last two days;

Start game, sign in automatically to racenet, get online events, start daily, loads stage, right as the screen fades to show the stage start, it quits back to the menus with a racenet disconnected type message, then i can't do anything that requires racenet until i restart the game, but obviously the daily shows me starting and never completing and won't allow me to participate.

Felt sooo good with the Quattro, had a nice flow and hairpins went well (no handbrake!). Then I went just a weeeee bit too fast in the right 4 before the left turn uphill near the end, nudged the grass which upset the car enough to slide into one of the stones. Was left in maximum awkwardness and proably lost 7-8 seconds turning the car around... So close to a top 10 time, but no. Not this time, hinkelstein.

Very similar here. The Quattro feels now so much more alive. Going perfectly through the corners until... a wild spin happened xD Fortunately I ended up doing a 360 and continuing as if nothing happened with just scratching the rear bumper a bit. 8 seconds behind Porkhammer, would've been less than 4 if it weren't for the "dance" xD Happy with the result though :)

Quattro: Currently 6th! Woohoo! I would've commented far sooner, but then the ISP stopped working in the entire country, still barely is. (Hence why also the replay video is immensely delayed)

Had to make a baaad save at the very final corner, lost half a second there alone :# Also that cheeky bugger in 5th beat me while i was RECORDING the replay. D:

I only bought one to do today's daily, didn't go just as well as the practice runs in the upgraded car.

Daily: Not too bad, some hiccups in places but overall I'm happy with the time considering the default C4 setup puts the car on stilts.

Owners' club: 5:28 in practice with some mistakes, so I reckon I could have done 5:25 here... if it wasn't for the fact that the engine cut out in the first hairpin and every time I tried to accelerate away the engine cut out. Three times. Ctrl-alt-del, bye-bye drt.exe!

I don't give up in a daily unless it is a puncture at the beginning of a long stage, I can still get some credits and some more practice doing a mid tier time.
But that's me, I'm still a looooong way to go to the top.

Daily: C4 - first corner, cutted too deep, bum suspension, bang tree, poof puncture - retire. It's just undriveable in default setup.

Owner's - Pug without any upgrades was really hard to drive, finished in low tier probably.

Both dailies with no upgrades:
Daily C4: Really, it is hard to keep grounded with the default setup, 40th at the moment. I thought I did better
Owner's 205: I don't like the auto clutch in this car, struggled a bit with it, 15th at the moment. Strangely I thought I did worse.
Happy with the results!

Finally had time this morning to give the daily a go, and ¤%¤#%#¤% binned it on one of those fast blind crests that turn right close to end of the stage. Too much speed, car tipped to 2 wheels and off we went to the forest. Wouldve beaten Elias by few seconds... :(

Was my second drive in the C4, and it really is terribly set up for finland.

It's a bad setup in general. Not bashing here but 1st gear is useless, 2nd is too long, and the car rolls insanely easy compared to others.

yes the c4 rolls over on sweet lamb yet all others are fine in same class. handles like a jeep rofl.

I found it to be fine, i give you it is horrible but just the fact of those 2010 high tech suspensions. It was okay to drive once you figured out how to manage the suspension (meaning lots of tiny left foot brakes to situate the car correctly for the corners)

I can't for the life of me figure out how to go quick in 2000's cars anyway, so the C4's jeep handling was the least of my problems. :D

Again a crappy time in a car after 2000... I really can't go quickly in any of them. I might start avoiding them completely.

Also messed up the wager daily because the cars engine kept dying during braking, and I couldn't be bothered setting another crap time.

Yay!
20th on the EVO X with a time of 06:25.951. I was flying I thought I would end up top 10. No mistakes but a tiny hickup, I think I was very conservative at some points though.
12th on the Manta with a time of
06:30.401. Did great, I almost forgot how easy to drive the Manta is compared to the Lancia.
For you guys at the top, I'M GONNA GET YOU, sooner or later!!!  >:)

One of the reasons I love ABS :p Only assist I'll ever use.

Daily: was going awesome until... a one slightly too fast corner which resulted in a close confrontation with a bush. Needless to say, the bush won.

Owner: No upgrades, so just took it home. Surprisingly enough I am 26th, even when being over 30s behind the leader xD
