Dyrda2137 0 Posted April 23 I'm racing in small league with my friends, and new guy pasted few videos, on which his potentiometer behaves very weird, just like Traction Control, which we disabled in our races, same as Brake Assist. He said thats his 'broken clutch pedals' but I don't seem so sure after seeing stuff like that tbh. What do you think? Have you seen anything like that earlier? If yes, i'd be thankfull for all information you have. Bicarda 465 Posted April 23 (edited) My guess is that it's a faulty pedal. (in which case this actually hinders him but if the spikes are small it isn't that much of an issue) My pedal (the basic csl elite ones) behave the same way if I don't regularly open them and give them a good blow (or use a brush when i'm really in the mood). Doesn't look like he's cheating to me and this will hinder him if anything. although in concern to throttle in this game you have enough wiggling room to nog really make this an issue. But this would tilt me to no end if my pedals did this. Edited April 23 by Bicarda
Worntoathread 865 Posted April 23 (edited) This is an issue that I've had with nearly every single one of my Thrustmaster pedal sets, it happens when dust gathers in the pedals and gets inside the potentiometers. It makes the pedal's input spike around and when it gets worse it makes driving nearly impossible. You can tell your friend he can try to fix this by either regularly cleaning/blowing in the pedals and if that isn't enough, to use some contact cleaner on the inside to clear the dust, it solved the issue permanently for my latest pedal set. pachedupdemon 28 Posted April 23 That's called feathering the throttle, get gud basically, or at most he needs to clean his pots.
