TM T3PA Pedals with Fanatec DD1

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

I'm buying a DD1 and V3 pedals, but the pedals won't arrive for a while. So, with no Thrustmaster adapters available to convert the pedal output to USB, I have an idea to use the current T150 wheel.

Open the wheel cover and disconnect the wheel connection to the PCB, and possibly some others such as optical. Use just the pedals through the USB.

Any thoughts??

Thrustmaster do infact make and sell an adaptor to make their pedal sets USB standalone.

You can't do this. The device that is recognised on the USB IS the wheelbase. The pedals are accessories and only work via the wheelbase.

But you're right about the adapters, they're out of stock and frequently. Even the passive Logitech ones for attaching them (Logitech pedals) to Thrustmaster bases are frequently out of stock too.

Maybe is the Drivehub a solution for now?

https://collectiveminds.ca/shop/allconsoles/drivehub/

Not really. It just makes other wheels cross-console. The pedals won't plug into the Drivehub.

In fact, support for some devices is qualified by saying you need the USB adapter. That puts us squarely back to the initial query 🙂

Got the Bodnar analogue to USB kit.  About £double the TM kit.  Had to hack a BT RJ12 socket for the wretched offset TM RJ12!
