Multiplayer Issue

Hello everyone, sorry for rough english.

we are 3 friends and used to play f1 2019 a few times a week on PS.

But suddenly we started to get errors when we connect to lobby. There is no error code. Just an error.

But then we discovered that

Player A can play with player B

Player A can play with player C

But player B can not play with player C.

I mean we can't even enter the lobby.

If player A and B is in the lobby, it's not possible for player C to enter the lobby.

If A and C in the lobby, same. B can not enter.

Whether A is in the lobby or not. Same.

Please somebody help.

Probably a connectivity issue like NAT. Who is host? Try C as host and B, as well as A.

Join game or invite? Try Open also.

Hello steviejay69, we changed the host too.

No matter who creates the game. We always have the same issue.

Others always joins the game with code. The creator also invites the others too.

What do you mean by "Try Open"?

Open (privacy) Unranked lobby (i.e. not invite or friends only)

Sounds like a connection issue for sure between B and C. B and C need to check NAT types and wired/wireless settings. Always run a wire. Can you complete a bug report too @serdarcoban. How to do so is in the green tab at the top.

Hello, @BarryBL and @steviejay69

I want to update. We have tried to play again with your recommends. Player B and C created games and other tried to join. But problem didn't fixed.

A could enter both lobbies but B couldn't enter the game which C is host, and same for when B was host.

Then we tried to play unranked. But it was the same on unranked game too.

I want to mention this: we used to play without any problem hundreds of times with the same internet service providers and same wireless configurations in our homes. Nothing has been changed at our side. (wired connection is impossible for 3 of us, we can't even try it)

Last night we checked the NAT Type.

Player A - Type 2

Player B - Type 3

Player C - Type 3

@BarryBL you mentioned about bug report but I don't know how to complete a bug report.

@serdarcoban the bug reporting template is in green at the top of the page.

Okay, I find it difficult to recommend anything else here. Player B and C are on 'strict' NAT types, and A is on 'moderate'. Twinned with the more unstable wireless connection, I'm not surprised that you are running into issues.

As tested by our league, wired connection is vital to stable multiplayer gameplay. Try to move to wired connections and 100% consider changing your NAT type to Type 1 (or at least Player C to type 2) to get moving.
