F2CMaDMaXX
I know how you feel, i retired in last months for the first time ever, just couldn't get that thing not to blow up half way through the stage :(
Porkhammer
I have now done Wales and Monaco in the monthly. Wales started off pretty well, but I ended up pushing too hard and losing an awful lot of time on noob mistakes, and only managed to grab one stage win. I was surprised to find myself leading after SS6, gheed must have done a massive mistake.Monaco was almost flawless, I won most of the stages, and only had a handful of scary moments - and my lead stands at 18 seconds after SS12. I doubt I will be able to keep that lead as Finland is next, followed by Greece... and gheed is just crazy quick. We shall see if I dare pushing or retire trying. F2CMaDMaXX
Hmm ,i completed it over a week ago, but i was curious if you could see stage times at all, as i actually won one of the Monaco stages, i wanted to see how far off @Porkhammer's time now he's done it. Porkhammer
I have now done the Finland bit of the monthly. It started off well; won first two stages - this gave me a little confidence boost and I backed off just a little bit and focused on taking good lines for the coming long stage. Boom, 8 seconds lost on it, and another 5 one after that - plus another second on the fifth stage. I really wanted to keep the lead though, so I took some small risks on the sixth and final stage of the finnish GP, and managed to get a little time back - 7 seconds lead going into Greece.Exciting. Porkhammer
If I hadn't crashed on SS23... I would have won the monthly. Then again, if gheeD wouldn't've had his mishaps, his winning margin would have been all the greater.Such is life.Congratulations to gheeD, very nice driving. Second place is nice as well. KK78
So I just did 3 stages of my first go monthly in Sweden, picked the BMW and it's quite a nice car to drive after having just finished Sweden in my last Championship with the nightmare Escort :# Hopefully I'll keep it in one piece throughout! Couple of quick questions for the Veterans;- If I totally tank the car and have to retire does it count for just that stage/country or is it curtains for the whole event?- If I do have to retire altogether do you still get the credits you earned up to the retirement, from previous stages?Cheers

KK78
Thanks Didzis, I just wondered because in the weekly (Pug 205) my game is still showing credits for the 1st 5 stages but I had to retire on the 6th but I guess I will get nothing.
Porkhammer
Right, 80's RWD monthly! Awesome. I picked the M3 as everything about driving it feels so natural.Sweden x 6 - Very nice pace throughout, a bit annoyed over the spin on SS6, but meh.Germany x 6 - Nice, clean driving and again a nice pace. No incidents.Greece x 6 - Awesome set of stages, just a little spin on SS15 Pedines Epidaxi - I was only 0.5 secs slower though? By the time I reached SS18 I was leading by almost two minutes, so I just cruised through.Monaco x 6 - Incident free, happy with my driving!Leading at the moment! BadD0g
Second to last stage. Slid a teensy bit wide, parked on the snow right in the middle of a gap between wall sections. Let go of the brake to drive off, slid 1/16 of a millimeter down the hill, DNF.Please stop putting Monte Carlo at the end of the monthlies. I want to DNF before I put in all the hard work, thank you very much.
foppaldo
I would normally say that I couldn't drive a RWD car in slippery and tight conditions to save my life. That I'm delighted with my current 16th spot after navigating Sweden, Greece and Monte is an understatement! :)
KK78
Finished the monthly in the M3, currently in the lower half of the top tier. Pretty pleased with that although I just wanted to finish so found myself nursing the car through Greece and Monte Carlo mindful of the amount of places you can slide off and be out of the competition. Found the last few stages on Monte very tense what with the co-driver saying 'we are overheating' after I'd just repaired the car to 100%!! and of course losing the lights half way through the 2nd to last stage. Can't see where my exact position is as on the PS4 there is no 'find me' option which is a little weird and I ain't filtering through pages after page of the standings. Habsolute
Well, not knowing exactly what a monthly was, for the last couple of weeks I've been trying to learn how to drive the M3. While I'm not "fast" in 4WD cars yet, I'm getting quick...I can't drive RWD cars. Of course, I'll keep trying...but it's frustrating. Anyway, I stupidly thought I would load it yesterday and blast through it simply to finish it (I had no illusions that I'd be competitive) and yeah...I raced solid for about 5.5 hours (my wife hates me now) and could only finish 14 stages before my eyes almost fell out. I guess that's why it's a "monthly"...to give you enough time to do it. Dumb mistake...And now the Group B. ~sigh~ those things are hard to tame too... I'm scared. There are only 24 stages, it takes like 2 and a half hours including the loading times. How could you only finish 14 stages in 5.5 hours? :|

Habsolute
Loading times between stages. Errr....rolling time for...errr....fuel for the proverbial fire. Dinner (the making and eating of it). I just didn't think it would be 24 stages, I wasn't aware. But I know now...
