Kuba 0 Posted May 21 Any ways to get rid of widescreen and have a normal 4:3 aspect ratio? I couldn't find relevant answers on the Internet nor my friends who are PC specialists couldn't help. I really need a good answer bc stretched 2004 game looks gross.
Morsify 121 Posted May 21 I think if you search for 'Colin Mcrae 4 widescreen fix' on google or Youtube, you can find a fix for that.

Snaky115 18 Posted May 25 Ah. https://acertainkindofgamer.com/2018/04/11/pc-tutorial-colin-mcrae-rally-2005-pc-169-wide-screen-hack-advanced-particles-no-fmv/comment-page-1/ So you have stretched 4:3 like in this 2005 guide i assume? I just tried CMR4 demo and i dont have stretching, just square 1400x1050x32 running as intended. Double check if you don't have a GPU scaling option active in videocard drivers? My AMD card has 'Scaling Mode' with options of 'Center' , 'Full Panel' and 'preserve aspect ratio'. If that somehow doesnt help, maybe get the only 1.01 patch CMR4 had and check Resolutions again under Advanced graphics settings?
Kuba 0 Posted May 25 The problem is My GPU is ATi Radeon X1300 and its control panel (Catalyst Control Center) doesn't work
Snaky115 18 Posted May 25 Hmm. 😕 https://community.amd.com/thread/235771 Try the scaling app linked here then. I hope it can override the broken Catalyst center. If not, then i will leave this here as well. https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/AMD_Catalyst_Control_Center
Kuba 0 Posted May 25 Actually Control Center doesn't exist and doesn't want to install everytime I install drivers

Today GUI-less driver installs still install the respective registry keys and probably did back then, so the first app should work (unless something has changed after your 2 millennium old graphics card)
Kuba 0 Posted May 25 Now I just discovered CCC works only with Intel CPU's with ATI graphics I have ATI with AMD, so I need AMD VISION Engine Control Centre *facepalm*
Snaky115 18 Posted May 25 (edited) AMD vision is for laptops if i remember right. AMD cpus running inbuilt graphics, more of a 2015+ thing, too new for your x1300. (unless yours is Mobility x1300, but even then.. ?) Edited May 25 by Snaky115
