Is this the Germany Location for Dirt Rally ?

Recommended Posts

The road is too wide, as it is in the real life.... This stages from Germany are just like Codies do... Narrow roads are other stages (from Germany too) but at the end other group of stages, diferent from Tarmac terrors....

And why arcade?
Just looking a video you may say this?
For me new FFB is pretty near from real cars feelings, nothing about arcade....

I get where Argouriou is coming from, with regards to the perceived amount of grip in game and especially the video at the start of the thread, but what I would say is Thierry N was very correct about levels of grip and I can say from past experience that it is more than possible to drive a powerful RWD car very quickly in the wet without looking spectacular or being sideways everywhere if you have good tyres etc, but I can also attest that trying to complete the tour of mull in the rain with a worn pair of Colway A2's is essentially like driving with oil on the tyres :)

This video is of callum duffy in very greasy wet conditions on the isle of Mull, which is probably one of the most challenging rallies in the UK. Yes the car is occasionally sideways, but look at the turn in grip he has, its very stable and only kicks out when he gives it a bit and bare in mind this Escort has 320 bhp to play with, so more than enough power to be sideways what ever the weather :)

Is he seriously shifting with paddles... in an Escort?

What a goose.

Yep and with flat shift :) .... mind you, if you knew how many times you have to change gear on that event, you'd want paddles as well..... and like I said, he's got power to spare in that car!

That's a common thing over here in the UK. Plenty of Mk2 Escorts with 2.5 litre Race engines with 350bhp and 6 speed paddle shift gearboxes

Often wonder why they don't fall foul of the same rule that banned Andy Burtons Cars, I mean they are pretty far as from original as they possibly could be now aren't they?!

And here is Dirt Rally

TOO MUCH GRIP
HOW DIFFICULT IS THAT TO UNDERSTANDING ???

Check those , different camera angles, different FOVs. And what?
Nothing wrong with Dirt Rally stage widths, no problem with its physics, neither FFB since v0.45. Total feels the same as in case of RBR. Trust me.

They're not space frame chassis though.

Ok, I know this is off topic, but so is alot here above me ;)

I really like the Wales stages, but I would love seeing more stages like this, A nice norwegian gravel stage in the summer. I know we are getting Finland, but I have a feeling those stages will be way wider and faster.
This video also demonstrates the insane grip these cars have on gravel.

Yeah, not as many as the irish have though. Often wonder how they get past the MSA rule that banned Andy Burtons Cars.
