Second : Steve Hood was absolutely right when he said the series was going nowhere

Did he really? Because in interviews I've read on his decision to leave he's always been very positive and gracious:-

Steve told fans in his farewell post, “I decided to resign even though F1 could be on the cusp of being bigger than it has ever been before…The handling is where I had hoped we’d have been with the initial F1 2010 game”. He also said in a separate discussion “It’ll probably be the best game yet and I’ll look like an idiot for leaving!”

I'm not exactly sure but he did remember him criticize the development staff over the lack of people behind him making the game. I get the impression that codemasters have big financial constraints with the price of the licence and being a small company and that's maybe the reasons why the game seem half finished or under complete.

I met Steve a couple of times at events leading up to F1 2010 and 2011 and he always seemed really passionate about the game and very passionate about the whole development team. You can tell these people are F1 fans and want to deliver an experience of F1 that pleases as many people as possible. It must be a tricky job. On one hand you've got the sim gamers who are hyper-critical about everything, then you have the arcade gamers who want to pick it up and get instant gratification, then you have people like me who don't have loads of spare time so have to squeeze in a race whenever they can, but still want a solid game where you can feel the handling, tires, weather etc more than an arcade game but don't want to spin off every time you touch the throttle. For the most part, my experiences of  the 2010, 2011 and 2012 games were really positive. The game delivers the 'experience' of driving an F1 car for me (or what I imagine driving one would be like). I'm sure finances will be an issue to Codemasters. They're a company who need to make a return on their investment in the FIA licence. It won't come cheap and selling copies of a game is about more than pleasing one or two forum goers. Also, time constraints must be hard to deal with. You hear lots of people saying things like "Yeah but Battlefield has xx players online, the handling in Project Cars is better" etc, not taking into account the development window, budget, online community helping develop the game.

I'm not criticising people's opinions, to each their own, I'm just giving mine and suggest people think about these things before vehemently ripping apart every single thing before they've even played the game. The team at Codemasters aren't in it to upset people or deliberately omit features people want.

AI are still easy to overtake at turn 1as no one is defending the inside then he passes 2 cars off track at the top of eou rouge and doesnt get a penalty (although they must be off as he wipes a car out that then drives through the wall lol) havent seen 1 curb that unsettle the cars yet in 5 vids and this is even in the wet! Looks on rails again as not once did he have oversteer on turn in and im sorry but in the wet that just doesnt happen, It looks like the only time you will get oversteer in this game is if you put the power down to early or to much. So dissapointed that the best codemasters can come up with is basically the same game they gave us the last 5 attempts :( On a positive Batman arkham knight is released in 24 hrs!!

Why don't we just wait and see what the hardest pro season is like then make negative comments. In one of the VVV videos he states damage is off, and, its not on the hardest level.
