Project CARS 2 - rallycross & hillclimb!

Hillclimb and Rallycross paired with the physics and ffb of PCARS got a lot of potential, for sure. But I don't think the game will include much content of that kind in terms of cars and tracks. Don't see it as rival to DiRT Rally either since this focuses clearly  on classic rallying. Plus, PCARS 2 will take some time to come out.

Yeah Project CARS is a bit of a joke. They don't like to listen to feedback, apparently. The game still suffers from problems they had since very early development. It also dislikes anything ATI. On top of that they already announced a sequel... I mean wat. Go home. That is so wrong. That is the first time in my life on this planet I have seen a game developer announce a sequel within a month of the prequel being released. Just go home and sleep.

I doubt they'll make a very successful rally game.

lol its project cars. say no more.broken handling, broken car physics. they listen to no one.

id rather play a milestone game :p
Is it that bad?
No its not that bad IMO. True there still are some faults still. But I've tried the competition and they also have faults of there own. So when all said and done it's high up on the list of track sims and not something  to be sniffed at. A million copy sold in 4 weeks ain't bad neither.

As stated tho by the time they get any  thing that could trouble Dirt rally I would imagine Dirt rally 2 would be on the cards.

Seems incredibly early to announce a sequel? I didn't get the first one because it looked a bit dodgy on Xbox one. I don't see how they could match the detail in the stages of dirt though, and the feeling of driving on a loose surface
Kind of made a rod for their own backs with the crowd funding model... It's perfectly normal to start working on your next project before the current one is out the door, but you wouldn't normally announce it until some time later. But if they want to crowd fund it, they don't have much choice.

Ok, Ill talk about this, I have PCars, got it for the number of tracks (I'm a sucker, my bad) and a few cars that I liked.

After driving DiRT Rally, even with its growing pains (FFB and Grip Gripes) even on Tarmac the cars feel so much closer to reality than PCars.   I get very similar feedback from the steering wheel on my drive to work.  So it seems Codies have got it right for me to compare with real life.

PCars on the other hand, is like driving on rails, there is little feedback from the wheel other than its just ALWAYS stiff.  Second, I wan't to mute the sound, its that bad, I don't know if they even recorded a real car, everything just goes from near silent to full open and screaming.

The only thing I will give to PCars is there modeling and game engine, then thats like finding a pretty girl in the mental ward.

Adding that some cars don't sound correctly and a lot of glitches are filling the game.

Project CARS is a great model, there's no point saying it isn't. But it's suffered from having to answer to the demands of a tonne of people and ended up diversifying so much that none of it feels 'complete'. However, being a 'jack of all trades but master of none' seems to sell well in this day and age - heck, look at what happened to CMR/DiRT - and the announcement of #2 fills me with trepidation, when they're clearly trying to go after the Forza/GT market by saying "yes, we offer everything".

I miss the days where games specialised in one thing, and it's why I hope DR retains its rally focus. I used to have GTR2 for GT racing and RBR for rallying; I was hoping the future would be DR for rallying and PCARS for circuits, but I think I'll be focusing on R3E for the latter, at least in the short term or until AC sorts its AI.

By the way, if you haven't tried R3E recently, it has a terrible iRacing-esque business model, but the driving model, AI amd sounds are incredible and all content is free this coming weekend - I can't recommend highly enough checking it out.

Please do not try to compare a rally sim to a simcade or an arcade game. :D Thanks.
Dirt Rally is the winner of all, even it is not finished yet.

Since v 0.45 i love it so much and i forgot to play with any other tiltes, even Ricjard Burns Rally.
Codies going to the right direction.I hope they will re-thnk their policy and the game will be mod-friendly to be able to put there a thousand creations made by talent guys. And the door of Hall of fame will be opened for them.
