Game4ce 2 Posted June 13 Is the Official car with the same game setup faster than the Custum car I use. What is the advantage of an Official car compared to a Custum car. My average duel score is about 65% wins with a custum car and is it an advantage to purchase an Official car.
G1bby 23 Posted June 13 Before the last update the McLaren was clearly the faster car, I've got the Red Bull and it handles better than the custom car. Since the update I'm not asure which is better or whether there are any differences. The best thing about having an official car is that you can you enter some other events. mobileracingfan 28 Posted June 14 I have the McLaren and am practising for the Shanghai event coming up. To me it's about 0.5s slower than the custom car on the same setup due to the poor visibility and clumsier handling. If I had a choice, I would use the custom car for the event. StoicSouthpaw 5 Posted June 14 Events aside, would you guys suggest getting an official car for purely performance reasons?

Right now the official cars are just reskinned custom cars until they have a better idea on the real 2020 cars.
Game4ce 2 Posted June 16 Thanks all for the info.....I got the Redbull car now and entered the Official cars event and I think the car handling is slightly better than the Custem car.

I got the Red Bull last year and the handling was definitely better than the custom car but I've not compared them since the update. The official team event is pretty cool and on some good circuits. Dr Zaius 237 Posted June 17 A long time ago Chris Groves categorically denied that any official car was faster than the custom car.
KMPkemp 11 Posted June 17 As far as I know there’s no difference right now. Maybe they’ll differentiate them at a later date when the season gets going. I’ve got a Williams and it’s no slower than my custom car
mobileracingfan 28 Posted June 18 Is the 2019 E-game car any good? I keep seeing people running this car. BTW, how did they get it? That was before my time with this game.
FlashyNeematoad 0 Posted June 22 Does each car have it's own specs? I'm thinking of spending money on either the Haas or Williams car.

I doubt it after the update. I would go with the top teams based on what the top players use in the official event. Edited June 23 by mobileracingfan
Robinnngo 0 Posted June 24 I asked to codemasters and the answer was that now all the official car and custom car design are the same in accordance with f1 2020 regulation. but later it will be updated with each makers specification and design afrer f1 season start. so its better to get your favorite official car when you have a chance. looking forward so much the update. i have red bull by paid but accumulate CR for AMG. KMPkemp 11 Posted June 24 I have the Williams and it drives fine. No difference to my custom car which ties-in with what Robinnngo has written

So what you're saying is that official cars WILL have a performance upper hand than custom cars? And AMG/Ferrari/RBR will be better than Williams/Haas? mobileracingfan 28 Posted July 6 I'm staring to like the McLaren again. It seems faster than the custom after the update. I reached ~240mph with DRS after the hairpin at Spa.
