notmmv 0 Posted June 13 Hey, after reinstalling Windows the F1 game does not want to start up properly. I get a 1 minute long blackscreen followed by a crash. I have done all of the typical steps (try DX11, disable steam overlay, reinstall game, update gpu driver, etc.) and nothing has worked for me so far. steviejay69 1,100 Posted June 14 Disable Steam Overlay is not a fix - it was an old issue with early builds of the game and specific Nvidia drivers. DX11 is not a fix either, it's highly likely that whatever doesn't work or causes a crash in DX12 will be the same in DX11.
