Of course it's impossible, that car isn't available in DiRT Rally.

The WRC cars of the 90's and early 2000's had a LOT less grip than today's WRC cars, so it's not really fair comparing that video to the WRC cars in Dirt Rally. Just saying.

That's true, of course. And I hope when Codemasters enter that Subaru WRC 2000 are similar physical. But you see this video,  this is a current WRC of 2015 season.
This example best? Physical and adherence should improve in the game.

Look at 38 second in this video!

To be fair it's very wet in most hairpins and it looks like wrong tyre choice in a few of them. If we could run germany/monte with slicks in wet conditions I don't think it would be that far off..

wrong tire choice? These images are the shakedown (the clevis the left) so it is imposible it for the wrong tire. In the game under both dry and wet, much still needs to improve. It does not help the developers say that everything is perfect.

I think IMO it might be something to do with some of the cars just no breaking traction soon enough. As in under very heavy breaking and especially exiting corners some cars just bog down too much. Even when you have stamped hard on the gas. That's why I love the the 037 as you have to be careful not to give it too much gas after a slow corner and feather the the throttle. Obviously the WRC / 4 wheel drive cars will grip better. But flooring them out a slow corner especially in the wet or snow probably should break traction to a certain extent.

Just my take on it :)

I am sure about it, the clips of the Subaru's are from the whole event. That second video you posted is from the Shakedown of this years Rallye Monte Carlo, which was also the same shakedown stage for last years too.

Where did I say everything is perfect?

Also when you start understeering it's almost impossible to transition to a oversteer when you put the power down, something is really wrong with the tyre's peak load, slip curve (this almost an on/off switch as is right now) and the longitudinal grip values (a bit too much traction, but with a lower peak load this may be fixed anyway)

extending this topic to the gravel part, i think you can scrub too much speed while powersliding, this leads to some almost impossible saves sometimes, don't happen at all in Wales, but in Grecce (and Pikes Peak, a little less though) you can really notice what i'm talking about, i guess this is more terrain related than is tyre's...

And at last, the car body inertia, car weight doesn't move around as much as it should, i barely notice this in gravel stages because it's quite bump, so the car body is forced to move a lot, but in germany you can easily see this issue when braking, the car balance is not upset at all, it feels like the suspension is using very hard settings (which would make the car quite tractionless over bumps), inertia values feel like they need to be around 20% more in all directions.

One would think these changes would make the game harder, when in fact it would happen quite the contrary, everything would feel more progressive, giving more time to react and unexpected crashes would be less frequent

This is just my opinion obviously, i'm no expert in these areas.

BTW, one last thing, these real videos just show how the rally cars have tons of grip IRL and DiRT Rally is really not far off lol

who is speaking subaru video? It is about images of the Ford Fiesta WRC Kubica. I think you've misunderstood. This video is montecarlo shakedown 2015. Obviously I think! in daily summaries of WRC+ you can check.

You yourself talked about the Subaru video and stated it was shakedown. Bad memory?

you are wrong. I meant that the shakedown video belonged to the Ford Fiesta WRC. I am not referring to a 2000 video !!

Well, when looking at the post it's easy to assume you mean the Subaru video.

ok friends. Obviously I posted the video of the shakedown to which I referred. I can not fight on equal terms as I use google translator pra to express myself here. Obviously I mean the end of 2015 shakedown. End of discussion on my part.

Here was the beginning of what I meant. And then I posted the video to prove shakedown. In short, the physical must still improve a lot.

People who are complaining about the grip level.

You need to put the car continiously into the edge until you can do those fancy slides. Grip level is just ok.

Arcade thing is when you stop acceleration you will not go to slide enough. There is too much grip then at gravel.

When Alwert mentioned Google Translator that made me think if Arguriou is using some special Google Translate that translates the word "real" to ARCADE and "player" to POPCORN PLAYER.
