Reset Progress

Recommended Posts

Save Management:

Reset progress

Reset All

Reset Racenet Data

Ok, I have the DLC so  started with 2.5 million + some starter cars. I've spent that just to play around and would like to start from scratch again.

Can anyone tell me what the different reset options will reset me to balance/car wise?

Do I get reset to $0 and no cars, or am I reset to what came with the DLC packs ie: $2.5Mill + starter cars?

What do the different reset options do to my balance and cars?

It's just very unclear as to what happens in the in game help text, which is why I'm asking.

Thanks in advance.

Sorry, maybe I wasn't being clear. I'm not one of the start from scratch complainers who want their starting bonus and cars deleted so they can grind from zero.

I just wanted confirmation that if I reset progress that I get reset back to what I started with, which was $2.5 mill plus the starter cars - which is my "zero" or initial conditions?

Which reset settings do that?

And if I've bought a car what happens to the value of that when I reset? Does it get re-credited back?

@UnderclassGDfan you've done this a few times, mind explaining which option does which?

Well, I used the first option "reset progress" once only.
And this option does nothing to My Team.

It deletes:

-Saved Custom Championships
-Any progress on Historic Championship
-Progress on FIA World Rallycross Championship
-Colin McRae Scenarios progress
-Saved Tuning Setups
-Current My Team Rally Career Championship
-Current My Team Rallycross Career Championship

I ASSUME that "reset all" deletes additionally:

-any adjustment in settings

I ASSUME that "Reset RaceNet Data" deletes:

-all cars in garage
-all credits
-all car stats
-all progress in Crew updates

I wouldn't recommend resetting your RaceNet-Data, because I really, really, really doubt, you get resetted to 2.5 million credits + the cars.
You will have just nothing. 0. Nada.
And most of the DLC cars you get only once with 0 car stats.
The older cars you only get "used" in the car shop with stats already attached.

But in any case you will have of course the DLC cars available in the in-game car shop.
I just think the 2.5 million credits are a one time-gift bonus.

So you can't actually confirm it then.

Can someone from Codemasters actually please give a definitive answer to this?

Surely you know how the game works?

Somebody does, I'm not that guy.

I can check but it'll be in a few days.

Would be good to know what the options will do.

Many thanks!

>>Reset RaceNet Data:

All cars removed from Garage (except Lancia Fulvia HF and Opel Corsa Super 1600)

Credits reverted back to starting level

So while your credit bonuses from season content apparently gets re-credited your car bonuses from season content doesn't?

I believe it empties your garage entirely (except for the starter cars), yes.

Basically, if you're able to "sell" a car in your Garage, you'll lose it. Only the Fulvia and Corsa are unsellable.

All cars can still be repurchased of course, though only a limited number of cars are available at any one time.

If I hear otherwise I'll update but assume you lose them for now.

Well, that's a real bummer. Plus it's inconsistent. If you get the credits back (which you should be when doing a reset to your initial starting conditions) then you should also get the car bonuses back too.

Just tested it myself on my work account (which has all 4 Seasons) and my Credits reset to 2,400,000 and I had all of the Season cars in my Garage.

Bear in mind my work account has special access to things on the Steam page since it's a publisher profile, so I might have permanent access to the DLC.

In other words, I can't say for certain that you'll get the cars but you will definitely get the Credits.

Thanks for the confirmation.

I guess I'll play a bit longer before chancing it.

Just for clarity, I'm posting these here:

Based on the information I have available to me, I believe your "starting level" of Credits is 0 cr + any bonuses from Season Content, so if you have all 4 Seasons your starting level would be 2,400,000 cr.

Hi, i'm sorry but all i want is to reset career (including difficulty).
So i tried to "Reset progress". First of all, reset progress will not reset anything except my career championship and my character (and hearing again one time per mode tutorial).
I wanted to go back to "Open" just to try with another car to run and train.

what's the good answer then?

P.S. : Game said that all i did is reset offline; i don't understand why, i'm online btw! (but i'm playing on pc with that sh... launcher Steam).

Any help?
