Fanatec wheels on F1 2015 ps4

Recommended Posts

I know codemasters has released the wheel support list for f1 2015. My questions is in regards to the fanatec wheels on PS4, will these be fully supported or are fanatec wheel users going to find poor performance in regards to like steering deadzones and pedal spike as happens with some other ps4 games when using fanatec wheel.

What wheel you on mate? I have a csw v2, formula rim and gt rim on my xbox hub and use the csp v2 but havent experienced those problems on Pcars which I belive is the only game that supports fanatec wheels atm? My settings are 0 deadzone and sens on everything and everything works as it should (watch telemetry as I drive sometimes so would see if it wasnt) the only setting I find strange is if my steering sens has to be 100 or I feel the wheel needs far to much lock. From the wheel videos I have seen of F1 so far it looks like there is loads of deadzone and imput lag but thats been the case every year as they never set the wheel and game settings correct at those type of events. I know Ben on youtube (tiemduk or however he spells it :) ) uses a fanatec wheel but think he uses just pc and VVV usually plays it on all 3 platforms but uses a thrustmaster :( only reason I mention them is they usually get a early release demo so might be worth watching to see if they mention any issues before release. Or wait for the evening to buy, least then can come here first and see what people are saying about the game.

Thanks for the response. I havent got a fanatec wheel yet. I was looking at buying the csr bundle. Not sure how long the bundle is offererd for so not sure if to wait until after the game release or not.

I just seen lots of people having issues with fanatec wheels on project cars. That might be game specific and hopefully f1 2015 doesnt have any issues.

Ye I know on release ppl couldnt calibrate them so they were terrible but they have patched that now and although Pcars is a better game than anything ive played the wheel does feel amazing on it :) My mate has my old Gt2 wheel (yours would be the upgraded wheel) and says exactly the same so If you have the money id advice you to get one straight away :) there are still some ffb issues with Pcars but if you know what the settings do you can set the ffb up to feel nicer than any other console game imo. As far as F1 goes mate youd be lucky to get a response of a cm employee so if only interested in F1 id say wait until release just to be sure as fanatec aint cheap (they are worth the money imo tho) If you look in the proper gameplay thread Darin from ISR has alot of positive things to say about the feel from the madcats wheel he was using to drive and the fanatec would feel twice as good so does look promising for wheel users. As far as I know the Fanatec bundles are always available to buy but can email them to find out.

The Fanatec CSR bundle has been available for around 3 years (I bought mine in Feb 2012).

I do fully suggest going the extra mile and getting the elite pedals. The load cell brake is well worth it and far superior to the standard spring brake.

Also, most people I know including myself, have swapped the springs on the clutch and throttle around once they get them in. But that'll depend on how stiff you like your throttle. (most people that play on my setup start getting calf cramps in a couple of laps lmao).
