Hey,

I have the same problem. F1 2014 - F1 2019 worked just fine. I reinstalled the game 3 times. It didnt worked.

Then I set up the computer again from scratch and installed windows again.

I also switched 4 different Networks. Two routers and two mobile connections.

All my friends are able to play.

Its really a shame. Help!!!!!!

Currently, we are experiencing some issues with our Online Services as mentioned elsewhere. This could be a reason as to why you are struggling today. Also, please try connecting to these links. If you cannot, there is a networking or firewall issue with your connection.

@NeoSephiroth and @HarveyOC other users have reported firewall and network issues even though they can connect. Try going through this thread and the 2020 master thread and try some of the suggestions there.

I have and I've made a thread detailing what I've attempted.
After about half an hour of trying those last night, the message changed to 'LNG_PP_MAINTENANCE'. It still says that today.

Oh, just a note. I can connect to Time Trial leaderboards, Unranked and Ranked.

As far as I've seen, it's just the Podium Pass and Item Shop that are returning that error at the moment.

The Podium Pass related servers are in maintenance at least ūüôā¬†

Hello, i have a question regarding the error 1008:H.

Is it possible that the problem is caused by the internet service provider? More precise: Some Provider only use DS-Lite (either IPv4 or IPv6 but not both). So when i have only a valid IPv4 adress and no IPv6 adress, that may be the problem?

I have helped my friend a lot to solve the issue on his side. We tried to fully reinstall his operating system, set back the router configuration, disable firewall, set port forwarding and some other ideas. But nothing helped here (the problem is also in F1 2019). He also has written down his problem here (MopZ).

Would be great if someone can further investigate the issue and tell us what we can try. Maybe we have to contact the ISP mentioned above.

Hi! Since I bought the game I have this error. The firewall is not, it is allowed the whole game. I've had it since Monday night because of the time difference, and it could never connect. Any suggestion?

Nothing doing.... ūüėĎūüėĎ. Tried Everything. Reinstall, Verify Integrity, W10 Updates. Still the same error.¬†

Ridiculous.. Can't play online.. What's the point in buying a game if I can't play online.

Solution ( For Me - Change internet connection )

Hello. I bought the Deluxe Schumacher Edition (Steam https://steamcommunity.com/id/ahcimmicha/) and was able to play on July 6th, 2020, but also had a problem with the connection to the online service. After 20-30 seconds the error 1008H comes. So offline I can play Solo and My Team mode.

Then I looked on the Internet, here in the forum and in the F1 2019 for solutions.

What I've tried so far:
- Approved by firewall and anti-virus program
- Firewall and anti-virus program switched off
- IP changed (turns off my internet connection)
- Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) activated (in the router)
- NAT type changed (in the router)
- Game uninstalled and reinstalled

- Internet option TLS 1.0, 1.1, 1.2 is activated SSL 3.0 is deactivated
- Switched between DirectX 11 and DirectX 12

- Change internet connection it Works!

So far, none of this has helped, as of July 9, 2020 at 3p.m. (for my GigaCube)

- The links tested:
o http://ecdn.codemasters.com/FOOFS/ServerStatus/Check.html
(It does not work! with my GigaCube)
o https://f1s.codemasters.com/F1OS/ServerStatus/ServerStatus.xml
(it Works!)

I also have the predecessors
F1 2010 - F1 2013 (no problems)
F1 2015 - F1 2019 (no problems)

Thought it might be the servers but at Twitch I see streamers on PC that have no problems.

My PC specifications:
System / hardware
OS: Windows 10 Pro 64bit (Function update for Windows 10, version 1909)
Monitor: 27 "BenQ XL2730Z | TN-144Hz
Second monitor: LG Flatron IPS277L-BN
Third monitor: LG Flatron M2550D
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X 8x 3.70Ghz
System: Samsung 850 EVO 250 GB SSD
Gaming: Samsung 850 EVO 1 TB SSD
Sound Card: Creative Sound Blaster ZxR
Mainboard: Asus ROG Crosshair VII Hero
GPU: MSI Geforce RTX 2080 Ti Ventus 11GB OC (GeForce Game Ready Driver Version 451.48 (06/24/2020))
RAM: 16 GB DDR4 RAM Corsair Vengeance LED, 3200 MHz
Power supply: 850W XFX Core Edition

You can find the DxDiag.txt below.

My Internet Connection:

Vodafone GigaCube Basic 4G Unlimited (including technical Details) It does not work!

and

Vodafone EasyBox 904 LTE 50GB it Works!

...now I wonder why my GigaCube caused this problem in F1 2020 but worked perfectly in F1 2019.

Can someone help me ?

What else can I try ? Greetings Micha.

Solution #1

I have 2 different Internet routers at home, one older one that is connected to the house phone (Vodafone EasyBox) and mine for daily play (Vodafone GigaCube). I can't play with the GigaCube, but I can play with the EasyBox.

For me this is clearly due to the EasyBox, possibly NAT settings, I do not know. I wrote what I've tried with everything. It hadn't helped. Unfortunately.

You can only try the same things.

Now I have tied the GigaCube with Lan cable and the EasyBox with USB WLAN stick.
When I start the game with the WiFi, it works, then I tab out of the game, deactivate the WiFi, activate the Lan Cable Internet and only then can I play it via the GigaCube line.

UPDATE 12.7.20

Solution #2

So, I have an even better option and wonder why I just figured it out: DI have a similar problem with the Steam version of Age of Empires 2 Def. Edition.

Download a VPN tool, connect to any server and at least for me it starts with the online service.

It works fine for me.

I hope I could help you. Greetings Micha
