Solution ( For Me - Change internet connection or use use a VPN tool / server )
Hello. I bought the Deluxe Schumacher Edition (Steam https://steamcommunity.com/id/ahcimmicha/) and was able to play on July 6th, 2020, but also had a problem with the connection to the online service. After 20-30 seconds the error 1008H comes. So offline I can play Solo and My Team mode.
Then I looked on the Internet, here in the forum and in the F1 2019 for solutions.
What I've tried so far:
- Approved by firewall and anti-virus program
- Firewall and anti-virus program switched off
- IP changed (turns off my internet connection)
- Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) activated (in the router)
- NAT type changed (in the router)
- Game uninstalled and reinstalled - Switched between DirectX 11 and DirectX 12 - Connect to a VPN tool / VPN server and start F1 2020 it Works! - Change internet connection it Works! So far, none of this has helped, as of July 9, 2020 at 3p.m. (for my GigaCube) - The links tested:
o http://ecdn.codemasters.com/FOOFS/ServerStatus/Check.html
(It does not work! with my GigaCube)
o https://f1s.codemasters.com/F1OS/ServerStatus/ServerStatus.xml
(it Works!)
I also have the predecessors
F1 2010 - F1 2013 (no problems)
F1 2015 - F1 2019 (no problems)
Thought it might be the servers but at Twitch I see streamers on PC that have no problems. My PC specifications:
System / hardware
OS: Windows 10 Pro 64bit (Function update for Windows 10, version 1909)
Monitor: 27 "BenQ XL2730Z | TN-144Hz
Second monitor: LG Flatron IPS277L-BN
Third monitor: LG Flatron M2550D
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X 8x 3.70Ghz
System: Samsung 850 EVO 250 GB SSD

RAM: 16 GB DDR4 RAM Corsair Vengeance LED, 3200 MHz
Power supply: 850W XFX Core Edition You can find the DxDiag.txt below. My Internet Connection: Vodafone GigaCube Basic 4G Unlimited (including technical Details) It does not work! and Vodafone EasyBox 904 LTE 50GB it Works! ...now I wonder why my GigaCube caused this problem in F1 2020 but worked perfectly in F1 2019. Can someone help me ? What else can I try ? Greetings Micha. 😉 Translation: Google Translator 😉 I'm sorry but my English skills are modest 😉 DxDiag.txt

Hi everyone,
From the feedback, this seems to be affecting newer users to the game. If you could do some troubleshooting on the following:
If you are running a Firewall, ensure it is set to allow the game to communicate on the following ports for both inbound and outbound traffic: TCP and UDP port 3074.
Verify your Steam files and install.
Complete a bug report in full, so we have details on your setup. - Without this, we cannot begin to diagnose the issue!
Ensure any mods (visual or otherwise) are removed?
Go through the troubleshooting below:
EDIT:
Please use the below URLs to check whether you can access the online services correctly from your network:

Hi everyone,
We have been doing server upgrades over the last couple of days that caused a temporary increase in server connection issues during this period. These upgrades are now complete and the servers appear to be functioning correctly. A recent outage prevented many Steam players from accessing our Online Services over the last few hours. We believe this service is also running again as normal.
An unrelated 500:H error was occurring for many users over the last week which should be resolved now too.
For any users still experiencing this issue, please can you confirm and add the below information. This will be critical to continue any investigations needed:
Platform
Your 16 digit report code. This is found in Game Options > Settings > Bottom left hand side of the screen.
Date and time of code encountered will also be handy.
Please do not add your Gamertag/ID as this isn't necessary.
Thanks for your patience on this issue. 👍
