Choose not to park when yo enter pits in practice sessions

It would be great if you can choose in any part of the radio options that when you pit and you are in a practice or quali session not to park the car, just change tyres and continue because some times you are in time limit and only want a tyre change but when you enter pits always the game parks the car and make you lose time going in and going out again, making you loosing the chance of any lap time when time is so close to the end.

To be fair, in real F1 cars rarely change tires in the pit lane nowerdays as they have to be turned around for another outing. Last time I remember was 2007/2008 when they often changed mid-session in the pit lane.

Of course I could be wrong regarding my observations.

But yeah, I think it would be a good addition in the P sessions at least to integrate the pit stop menu of the race to choose there between pit stop & garage with the possibility to preset it in the setting between 'always garage', 'always pit stop' and 'as entered' (if no input before pit entry - > drive through?).

In Q I think it wouldn't be necessary as you only carry fuel for a hand full of laps.

i think i have heard that they are trying to make this possible for the practice/qualifying sessions not sure when it will come but they are looking at doing it its just trying to figure out how to do it in the code

I think the fuel thematic is the problem as of now the cars get always refueled in the garage while in this pit lane pitstop idea they wouldn't have a physical option to refuel if it was in reality.

Maybe when fully manual pit stops eventually come around 😇
