How Much People Are Actually Pre-ordering F1 2015 ?

Btw, just a thought for all you who are not purchasing the game: any hope for this game improving relies solely on the shoulders of us who are buying it to ensure they have the money and resources to make subsequent games better and improve them with the features you're all wanting.

I'm all for voting with your wallet (and even suggested it in another thread) and standing on principal, but at the end of the day it's just that much harder to deliver the game you guys want. Just something to consider.

LOL! Backwards "logic" is backwards... Paying for something you don't like doesn't give the seller incentive to deliver more of what you want - it gives the seller incentive to continue delivering less & pocketing the difference. Why invest more in better quality when people will keep paying for worse? If you want more of people's money, you deliver more of what people want to buy, not less. Voting with your wallet by purchasing is a vote that tells the seller to continue doing what they've been doing - and I won't "vote" for that. They'll need to do better if they want my money. Besides, I'm not a charity that hands over my money to "support" game developers - I'm a customer who hands over my money in a fair exchange for quality & enjoyable gaming experiences. "...Any hope for this game improving relies solely on the shoulders of" the game's creators, and if they don't respond to customer feedback by incorporating better quality & highly-requested features in their games, then they lose customers.

I couldn't have put it better

The lack of info in general is ridiculous at best. It's been the same old crap for quite a few year's now. I can't see myself getting the game straight away. I like gameplay and features with games not some pretty graphics system which becomes stale after a few days after playing it

The game looks alright but still I'm not convinced enough by what I've seen unless somebody decided to buy it for me on release day. Personally I would rather wait for the discounted game in the bargain basement bin

Yeah this is what I'm likely to be doing as well. I do like the look of the game but not at that price because for me those graphics should come as standard it's the fact that there's a lack of career mode and other features I tend to use a lot that I'm going to wait and pick it up on the cheap.

The only reason I've not voted on this poll is I'm not 100% sure what I'll do yet but I do know it'll be 1 of 2 of the options which are buy it in in the sales or not at all.

look the fanoys would pre order a turd if it had f1 2015 stamped on it and people sayihg look at e3 etc thay really think that thay havent tweaked it to look good etc and if its realy that good why put a review embargo on it pre ordering is for the gullible its a sales practice that should be banned its bad for gaming and gamers allike  devs are getting lazy when thay know they  are goig to get sales  from pre orders what ever crap thay put out .

The only thing I think will hurt CM and sales: is a rival game, if you want real f1 Codies win......perhaps more than one company could own the licensing

I mean rivals like : cod v BF,  FIFA v pes, .......f1 2015 v ?????
I think it is fair to say formula 1 is not on the level on football or fps shooters in terms of popularity and interest in the actual sport of formula 1 is declining.

If that was the case I'd say Electronic Arts would have kept the title when they had the licence.

True, I am however sick and tired of people throwing money at stuff of which they can't even be sure is worth a damn. But that's my problem.
Well, what else is it the? Brand loyalty? Sounds just as bad, cos then you're buying a name, but not quality.
Which is why you choose a few reviewers who's opinion you know you agree with the most and then go from there. Besides, like I said, reviews are a usually a good indication whether or not the game itself is even optimized. I know, console players usually don't give a damn about that.
Actually there would be; press copies and stuff.
That's entirely up to the consumer though. Sure there are definitely some out there who just throw money at things without thinking about it but I'm fairly certain there are more that know what it is they will be buying. Not even necessarily brand loyalty, which as you say, is just as bad, it could just be as simple as someone just enjoys that particular game or whatever. That's why I'm pre-ordering anyway. I've liked all the previous F1 games despite there being things about them I don't agree with so I see no reason why I wouldn't like this one. If it turns out I'm wrong and I don't like it then I simply wouldn't pre-order the next one.
True, reviews can be helpful, personally I think it's a good idea to read both reviews from those you know you agree with to some that perhaps you don't so you get an idea from both sides and then make a decision for yourself from that. I personally never take reviews seriously that are completely one-sided either positively or negatively, usually a clear sign of an agenda. Press reviews sure, but they're fairly limited to give a clear impression.

Saying that, I'm not saying you're wrong for waiting for reviews. At the end of the day it's up to each person if they prefer to wait for reviews, that can be a good idea and there's nothing wrong with that. If I wasn't sure I'd enjoy it then I'd be doing the same. People not buying because they don't feel they're getting their moneys worth or "voting with their wallet" as it were, are equally as valid.

Ideally, every game should have a demo released, especially racing games. That's the only way we can be sure ourselves whether we would like or dislike a game. We're all blind to an extent without first trying it ourselves.

Sadly, most companies are now wise to the fact that the additional time and effort required to put together a demo rarely results in increased sales (since the vast majority of people who'll try it are potential buyers anyway), but does have plenty of potential to reduce them if that demo isn't fantastic (even if the final game turns out to be).

Exactly the problem. All down to time and money again unfortunately. A great shame really. Miss the days of the demo discs that came with the magazine reviewing each game on it!

When ea had the rights f1 was non existent  state side now it has a track and next year a team so EA might  make a bid  for the rights to make f1 games in 2017 . CM needs  a kick up the ars to up there game   CM have had 5 years to make a good f1 sim 2010 was there best sadly thay just got lazy with each yearly update this year for me was the last straw ie lack of single player 5 year season mode im now playing pcars  so ill see what 2016 brings to the table if 2015 flops CM may walk away from f1  and to be brutality honest  it might be a good thing.

Won't be buying it. There's only 2 things that would make me change my mind and I know that both of them will not be in the game. And from what I've seen I can't see it keeping anyone's interest for more than a week. Really low-end product that's got nothing of interest I'll stick with 2013 with mods.

Definetely f***ing not.

Codemasters ripped me of with 2014 (already bought 2012 and 2013) and there's no sign of changes compared to 2014, apart from graphics. Lack of realism, options, content, and so on. Instead of paying another 50 bucks for 2014 v.2 I'll continue racing with rFactor and RACE 07 and such, these are cheaper and more realistic and satisfying.

Just preordered on PC, £27.99 from Game UK with steel case and book, compared to £35 or so digital download like Steam (okay it has a bit off but still over £30 with no book!).

If you just want the game, Gameseek has the PC standard edition for £25!

You made it clear that you are not happy with the game and that you are not buying it. I don't see why you feel the need to continue to show up here. Get on with your life and go spend your time doing something you actually enjoy.

I actually just pre-ordered it on Steam instead of waiting till day of. I'm not a huge gamer these days so wasn't familiar with the concept of the preload but that alone sold me.

Still too much for what they've taken out this should be a free download.

I buy it today. I found it at GK4K for 23 €.
I always pre-order, because my internet is very slow and I have to prepare the installation first so that I only have to install the game on 10th July :)

I've learnt my lessons regarding pre-ordering games. I'll wait until the reviews are out, or I see it cheap somewhere.

Same. Thanks to Call of Duty: Hardline, I'm never pre-ordering a game again.

I stopped buying CoD games after BO2. All of them are so similar these days...

I meant BF: Hardline which is actually a lot more like COD than Battlefield.
