Racenet log in doesn‘t work

Recommended Posts

I tried to log in to Racenet in the game.  Unfortunately, something doesn't work there.  When I secret my registration and when I cancel.  Am I doing something wrong?

1.       A detailed description of the issue. Please include any error codes here.

Exactly as the thread title. I know my Racenet ID is valid, there is a sign-in issue.

2.       What version of the game you are using (Shown on the start screen in the bottom left corner of the screen)

1.03

3.       Game-mode?

Customisation / Racenet

4.       What are your replication numbers? Minimum test attempts are 4. Please also add EXACT replication steps for us to try too.

Every time

5.       What troubleshooting have you attempted? Please always try to attempt to fix the issue. Do you have the latest drivers? Have you check your connectivity settings?

Signed out, then back in.

6.       Please provide a video recording of your game crashing so we can see where the issue occurs?

7.       [ For PC ] – Please add a DXDiag to your post.

Not the issue.

@BarryBL Bumping this as it's on the final page of the bug reports, while technically being complete if we can reproduce it 🙂

Bumping, as I have this same issue. I can connect my steam account via the website, but that won't give me the Item/Livery either.
Yet it won't let me sign in/connect manually entering it in-game.

Hi,

We think this issue may occur if your Racenet account is already linked to a different gaming account on that platform. To see if this is the issue, try the following steps:

1. Go to the Racenet website (https://racenet.codemasters.com/)

2. Click the "logging in" link in the centre of the screen

3. Log into your Racenet account

4. Select the cog icon in the upper-right corner of the screen and select Account Settings

5. In the first option listed under the "Update Your Account" heading you will see your linked accounts:

A green circle around the corresponding platform icon indicates that your Racenet account is currently linked to a gaming account on that platform. Select the icon for the platform that you are using for F1 2020 and click on the "Unlink Account" option that appears. Note: if you do not see a green circle around the appropriate platform icon then there may be another issue affecting your log-in, such as an incorrect username or password.

6. Relaunch the game and proceed to the main menu screen

7. Select the "Game Options" tile, then choose the "Racenet" option.

8. Select to sign in and enter your Racenet account email address and password

Thanks,
Hoo

I followed those steps, although at the time I did not have any accounts linked to my Racenet. I only just created my Racenet account earlier the day of my first post on this thread (I think, but it was definitely as recent as my purchase of F1 2020).

I'm still not able to sign-in.

Also, if I unlink and re-link via Racenet's website, then launch F1 2020, I'll see this instead (below):

Umm, so I dunno what happened. But I now have the items unlocked?  It just happened after I completed a Grand Prix race, noticed the 'new' notification over Customization and yeah... The Codemaster stuff is unlocked now.

So I guess it did work? Strange.
