lol. After I cooled down a bit after the ragequit after my 4th attempt I actually made in my 5th attempt and this time almost with ease.

This time I changed my strategy of instead of staying out as long as possible and trying to drive away from them I kinda waited for a gap in the cars behind me... (which where Bottas/Hamilton/Vettel) so I would come out right behind them after my 1st stop and then overtake them on the track with fresh tires.

By sheer luck I came out the pitlane exactly with Vettel next to me in the first corner after the starting straight and he had to take back because the straight leading up to the casino is to narrow... then I closed the gap to Hamilton and beat him to the corner after the tunnel by breaking later than him. Bottas I took again on the straight up to the casino and I managed to sway him into the wall. Hahaha. His frontwring and chassis where damaged and he fell back all the way to 7 place and I didn't even get a warning. Best result for the constructors championship because Mercedes is kinda unbeatable in the first season no matter what you do because your second driver doesn't manage to get any points.

 

I think the main difference in my 5th attempt was that Bottas was 2nd for most of the time instead of Hamilton (Hamilton had P2 on the grid so Bottas must have gotten him somewhere). In my other attempts Hamilton was 2nd and even though I put a gap of like 8-9sek behind us after that he kinda almost matched my speed even though I was on Softs and he was on Mediums. Probably my tires were too wasted after that. But Bottas seems to be a bit slower and he slowed everyone else behind him too. Probably that is why I made it in my 5th attempt.

 

I was so happy about finally winning now... But now I got a slap in the face after the race... 3 part upgrades simultaneously failed and now I have to invest another 900 research points into them. Effectively the practice programs of the entire weekend for nothing. 🤦‍♂️

I got disqualified for not using the 2 dry tire sets when I did do a pit stop from soft to red in 25 percent length race in Azerbaijan. Really dissapointing

I'm playing on PC and I've encountered the same bug many times.
The mode is My Team and the length is 25%.
It was in Vietnam, Holland and Spain.
When I tried to end up with soft and medium tires, it would say 'soft or hard'. You will be disqualified by the 'not wearing' label.
To begin with, the labeling is not the same as the mandatory tire and the soft is also worn to start and the medium is next. I'm wearing them, so I must have fulfilled my obligations.
At first I thought it was a bug in the two added grands prix, but not because it happened in Spain too. It seems.
It shows a different tire than the mandatory tire display and also counts the tires you're wearing. The problem is that it is not there.
This problem did not occur when I installed all three types of tires and made them 2pit.
I'm not sure what the conditions are.

Yeah, just had this issue during a 25% race at Montreal as well. Disqualified for not running two compounds despite starting on mediums and going soft at the stop. Very frustrating.

So possible work around:

wheb you start the race, adjust the number of laps per stint. I changed it 2, and it worked for me.

Can anyone who has had the bug happen confirm if they reached Q3 in the GP it hit? 

I run 25% races, 7 races into MyTeam and I've had the bug hit me once at China, which conveniently is the only GP I've reached Q3 in.

Could it possibly be linked to the Q3 tyre being locked in or just something to do with Q3.

At the moment I am trying to avoid this bug. My son had this bug a few days ago.

So I'm in My Team, 50% races, full Qually.

I'm choosing to edit the suggested tyres and choose hard in one of my selections. I'm in to race 6 and so far not getting the bug. But this is affecting race strategies.

I encountered the bug, but didn't do a full qualification, just the one-lap option

I faced the same issue in Australia on "My Team Career". I was in 1st position and on the last lap was reminded that I have not used all the compounds.

Had used both Soft and Medium already according to the strategy. Since I has about 20+ second lead, i decided to pit. I came out of the pit and then got disqualified (no reason given).

Similar to this issue.

I started a new My Team career and completed all practice programs and a short 18 min quali. Qualified on pole and started with red soft tyre. Pitted as per Jeff instructions around lap 5 and switched to yellow side walled mediums. 2 laps before the end of the race, i was warned about not using the mandatory tyre. I continued around and as i crossed the line for my final lap, i was DSQ

2.       What version of the game you are using (Shown on the start screen in the bottom left corner of the screen) 

v1.03 on PS4 (however I have installed the PS4 v1.04 patch but this doesn't show on the start screen)

3.       Game-mode? 

My Team

4.       What are your replication numbers? Minimum test attempts are 4. Please also add EXACT replication steps for us to try too. 

I have only tried this once as I didn't want to have to re-run 25% race distance each time

5.       What troubleshooting have you attempted? Please always try to attempt to fix the issue

6.       What peripherals are you are using (gamepad, wheel make & model etc)

Hy guys,
Same pbm with me.
But what apears to me is for every race the rules for tyres are you have to use hard and medium. When you choose your tyres for the weekend you get the information on the right.
I've tried in Vietnam and it worked. The main pbm is whatever the race it's always Hard and medium. And this is not applied to the IA which will race with soft and medium.

So maybe the pbm is there?
Anyway when you have to race with hard tyres against soft is quite  a disadvantage..

Happened again... Italy, would have gotten a podium in a 100% race! Restarted the race, made a mid session save with five laps to go... Put in hard tyres and this time it worked. 

 

QUESTION @BarryBL maybe until it's possible to solve the bug, a patch could be released simply deleting the necessity of using mandatory tyre so that the game is playable?

PS: I did start on softs not mediums

the same thing happened to me just now, it's my 2nd season in MyTeam career, in the first 2 races (25%), Australia & Bahrain, I did 2 pit stop, the first stop is on the strategy, from soft to medium, the second stop (around 4 laps left) is my own initiation to clock faster lap, I changed it back to soft. It was fine in the first 2 races, and then I did the same thing in Vietnam, I got disqualified after my 2nd stop.

in the tyre allocation tab, it says medium & hard is the mandatory tyres, is that mean you can't use the soft tyres? the thing is I didn't really open the allocation tab in the first 2 races. I just happened to open it in Vietnam.

Is this happening to those that have Safety Car enabled? I turned Safety Car off and have yet to see the bug re-occur since.

Please release a hotfix as long a you can't get behind what's causing this problem as this is gamebreaking and makes the game literally unplayable. Just remove the necessity of using specific tyres until you can resolve this issue completely. At the moment you guys are kind of not conveying the message that you know why this is happening so it's really frustrating to just did here and not being able to play the game we've been patiently waiting for 🙂

IVE GOT THE SOLUTION! 

The problem is the game doesn’t recognize the tire you’re starting with. If you check the race director before starting the race it will show you the tyre you have, but... if you change your strategy from a Soft-Medium (25% race), to a Medium-Hard, exit to the cockpit camera and check the race director, it will show you have already used Soft and Medium tyres. If you now go to the strategy and select the bottom one (Alternative Strategy) and change it to the optimum you can check again the race director it will show you have used two Soft compounds. 
 

I’ve been testing this bug for 2 seasons and 2 different My Teams, this way is the only one I’ve completed all the races and I’ve not been able to recreate the tyre bug.
