Choose My Team Teammate from full F2 Roster

It seems like the initial teammate selection for My Team gives you a random group of 8 F2 drivers to choose from. It'd be nice to be able to just select any F2 driver so that we can set up one career with, for example, Mick Schumacher, another with Lord Mahaveer, etc. Not a huge deal, but it'd be nice to have the option depending on my mood (serious-ish gameplay vs. novelty gameplay).

Is it realistic that F2 drivers would insist on a higher salary to the point they would refuse to join F1?  Seems to me that if there was only one driver slot left in F1, and drivers were eager to move up, there'd be a lot more choices than the one lone driver we can afford if we choose Slingshot Fuel as a sponsor and Merc for an engine. Something tells me there is more than one way to get a driver deal done, so this idea that we "can't afford" a better driver in F1 is just dumb.

I used a little work around and kept backing out and going back in until I got Schumacher, not ideal but I didn’t want Aitken or anyone else.

I definitely think that the choice should be from all f2 drivers. I don't feel that there's any reason to limit it for the first season, especially given you can basically refresh the choices.

I get the argument that if you're offering a seat in f1 to an f2 driver they might be willing to take a little bit lower pay just to get into f1. From a gameplay point of view though, that would eliminate the balancing act between engine and driver for your first season.
