ERS mode stuck on None when doing a second qualifying lap

Recommended Posts

1. A detailed description of the issue. Please include any error codes here. I have ERS and Fuel assists off. Australia, first GP of the calendar. Went for my qualy lap early on the session driving out of the garage and everything worked as usual, including the ability to press the Overtake button and to change the ERS mode from None to Medium to Hotlap. Did an in lap switching to Lean Mix and ERS 0. Advanced time in the session for close to 5 minutes, saved the session and went for a second lap, driving out again. The fuel mix was on Lean and I was able to get it to Rich, but ERS was stuck on None and the Overtake button was unavailable both on the out lap and on the qualy lap.
2. What version of the game you are using (Shown on the start screen in the bottom left corner of the screen). 1.03 on PS4.
3. Game-mode? My Team.
4. What are your replication numbers? Minimum test attempts are 4. Please also add EXACT replication steps for us to try too. Did flashbacks from the behind the starting line to after Turn 2 a handful of times and reloaded the mid-session save twice.
5. What troubleshooting have you attempted? Please always try to attempt to fix the issue. Reloaded the mid-session save.
6. What peripherals are you are using (gamepad, wheel make & model etc). PS4 controller.
7. Any screenshots or video of the issue? If the video is long, please include a timestamp for when the issue appears. No but will try to replicate and get footage.

Can you replicate from a new session totally? If so, please add video

That sounds like the wrong session too. You should only be allowed to go into None or Hotlap for qualifying. You should NOT be able to use OT, or medium - these are only race and practice modes. If you could switch between all, suggests it's Practice so would be good to see that video! 🙂

Yeah, I got the part about being able to turn on OT and Medium wrong, but unfortunately I was right on being stuck on ERS 0. @BarryBL Here's the video from me driving out of the garage to do a 2nd qualy lap, then about to start the hotlap.

You'll see me changing the fuel mix from Lean to Max when leaving the garage, then going back and forth trying to get the ERS out of zero. I have it mapped to my right thumbstick up/down and it did nothing. After a while I tried to switch it manually from the MFD to no avail.

Finally I reload the mid session save and give it another go, same results.

I'll see if the same issue replicates on my next GP.
