Overtake button as hold rather than on/off

I think you have two options here. Either a push and hold like the old KERS system, or overtake is deactivated when you press the brakes, either method will solve the problems we are having.

I don't think only being able to deactivate ERS by pressing the brake would be a good option at all. Typical use would be to use it for a bit at the start of a straight but not the full straight up until a braking zone.

I mean obviously you’d still have the option to disable it yourself like with DRS, just add the ability for it to be disabled when you apply the brakes, you can still turn it off yourself, i thought that would be obvious tbh

I think the one/off button would be best, because otherwise if you are using a wheel for example, you have less grip on that hand for steering in a corner etc. So, with respect, i disagree.

As an Option would always be good 😊👍

Are you meant to press it round a corner though? A long sweeping one, maybe - but not round a 90 degree surely?

Codemasters may give the option to toggle or hold - everybody wins!

Yes, a corner like Vietnam has for example or Baku after the castle part. Sometimes the FFB is heavy with a T-GT steering base. I dont even want to know how it is with a DD wheel 😉

I hope also as an option for hold or on/off. Like you said, everybody wins then
