I kinda was hoping one could do a F2 season and then start My Team with some acclaim/reputation earned there or some other "starting benefits" that will be carried over to the My Team mode after finishing the F2 season. Would be nice if that could be added... because I kinda would like to do a more realistic playthrough with an F2 season to "earn the F1 driver license points"... and then start a My Team career. BarryBL 4,319 Posted July 8 Would be illogical as, in the story, you are already a driver in your own team. If you failed in F2 and struggled for example, would MyTeam not become available. Career mode it makes total sense though. Remember, you're the boss. If you failed to reach top 4 in F2 and because of that not get your F1 licence, you should do another season before the MyTeam option becomes available. Yes we are the team boss, but also the driver (without a licence). I feel i should have earned that before i go into F1. So to combine those features would have been better. The issue there would be that, for casual players or people who want to get into MyTeam straight away, they have to grind a mode they might not want to play to get to the one they do. Also, they could get stuck in F2 which would turn them off playing. If MyTeam was 'greyed out' at the release of the game, while being our flagship addition, I think there would be a riot. I understand what your saying, but it would be great if it was optional to combine them. For me as a player, i would love to do the F2 series and get my licence first to get into F1, but also really like the MyTeam option. The argument is kinda moot when you can make an F2 season before entering MyTeam fully optional just like it is in Career mode. Because in the end I could say exactly your argument about the career mode... it might turn off casual players who want to get into Career mode straight away... they would have to grind through F2. Oh well. They don't have to... because it is optional and aren't forced to do it. So doing an F2 season could also be there, just optionally and if you don't want to you don't have to. If I would have had to design the selection screen I would make the main menu this way: Only have Career Mode button (instead of both Career Mode and My Team) and when clicking on it you get to select if you optionally want to do F2 before entering F1 and also optionally if you want My Team once you are in F1 (carrying over earned F2 experience/money into career/myteam). Selecting both options gives you the full hardcore F2+Career+MyTeam experience (if you can stand it) or select only F2+Career or only Career+MyTeam. But none of both opions would be mandatory.
